legos rocks, but, man, you're doing it wrong. you must build the bottom V-shaped (like real boats), in that case it'll be balanced without the other things you did.
you'll also be able to build it higher than it's wise.
how come ur ships float with my old ones (havent tewsted a ship in 2 years) they always sank but the more watertide compsrtments i added the hevier it got and the faster it sank but my ships are always luxorios with lots of rooms and lego furniture and things
nice tutorial, but the base vs height thing dosent always count. the base of a lego ship I made (soon on youtube) was nothing compared to the height, but itt was a V shape. it also had a few watertight pockets of air inside it to aid floating. but still a nice tutorial! 4/5
It doesn't HAVE to be wider than it is tall. I have a boat taller than how wide it is and it is not a plastic hull. Alee you need is a heavy keel. That will prevent it from fliping over. Also it needs to go on the bottom of the boat.
how do u prevent water from comming into the boat i built several boats with huge walls to stop the water from coming in but it keeps coming though little cracks
take clay and patch the cracks lightly and water will not come through. If you patch lightly the clay's weight wont be much.Clay can also balance a boat.
you know kind of like the titanic you could make to floors about 2 studs higher than each other not for people but for a better chance of it floating very stable and most water will only go in the first floor! And yes that idea was pretty random but it should work based on how heavy your boat is gw!
i made a boat out of a back of a truck base.Mine floats but water gets inside the compartments under the command center, it still floats after but i just don't like the water on the inside of my boat. how can i keep the water out?
It's necessary when the ship is bigger like this guys are. If it's too tall it helps to keep a low center of gravity...like a sumo wrestler, except in the water.
also if the center of center of gravity is high ore low for the draft it dont mattter
my ships when i lift someting with my crains the center of gravity is high. but the draft is 4 ore 5 cm and the center of gravity is 24 cm, the point of sailkig is the turning point of the center of gravity en de center of buoyancy from thare you have a turning point
You have some really nice ships. How do you keep water out of them? Mine always fill up with water and I have to have the ballast tanks for stability.
It depends on how the boat is built. On that bigger one of mine I put them on the outsides because it was rolling with too much weight at the center. I guess you just need to keep testing it to see where it leans to. I hope that answers your question. :)
no top comments , lets see can i make one , whats up with those lego boats huh , huh ****** danget .____________.

the ballast tanks are doing noting exelly it gives olny that the boat is deeper in the water
