For a player of his senority in the league he should have rec'd a penalty of some type beside a game. He isn't some rookie, he is a vet. I mean if they could fine Carlos Beltran and Jerry manuel $500 then why can't they fine him? Even like 500-1000 dollars?
Tallinder should have gotten a game and a suspension. They suspended mult. people last season for doing hits like he did.

u haven't once swore and tried to dimeen me once in this debate which is a nice change of pace...but i must say...u can tell that hockey isn't ur first sport...there has NEVER been a fine for a third man in and only a third man in...if there was a sucker punch or stick used then yes but this is the NHL 3rd man in penalties happen all the time, they really aren't that serious especially this one...being a vet has nothing to do with it actually andin the NHL vets get away with more which is stupid

the hit should have been 5 and a game...but unfortunately in the NHL if the player hit doesn't miss anytime u almost never see a suspension which i completely disagree with...it's a lot like the hit by ovechkin on briere...not a lot of bad intent but it was a complete cheap shot and briere was lucky he didnt have a spine injury...ovie got 5 and a game and the league left it at that when i think he should have got a 1 game suspension...kudos on keeping this civilized tho

hit on comrie def should've been at least a 5 min major...i think 5 and a game i dunno bout a suspension but def a game...i wouldn't say kaleta won i wouldnt even call that a fight and i hate when people think someone won because they got the takedown...still tho, mair still have both his gloves and stick well after rivet and berg were going at it...i didnt like the punch he threw at the end either but when u cross check and jump a guy who declines then ur pretty much open to anything after that

They def won bergy fight as Bergy isn't a fighter. You really don't see much of the Witt fight so its hard to judge but you guys got the takedown so I guess you take it. Lastly the Thompson fight, overall it was a good tilt both landing some while taking some however contrary to most sabre fans I think Thompson won by a little bit. It didn't help Mairs case throwing a punch when the linesman all but broke it up.

He is a vet, it isn't some rookie mistake. However I now realize calling for a suspension in that spot was a little drastic. However the guy who hit Comrie in the first period should have gotten a game or two. They suspended multiple people last year for doing hits like that. Your guy didn't even get called for a penalty.

i gave berg cradit and said rivet should beat his ass....if u look at the other vid where jeanerette is CC it shows a perfect view of thompson cross checking mair then when he and mair are lying on theice mair has BOTH of his gloves still on and even his stick is lying right between thenm while thompson has completely shed his stuff...if mair turtles ur right he gets agame but captains dont just sit by and watch one of their teamates get cross checked and pounced coming off major surgery

Mair and Thompson were going to fight and Rivet came in and was the third man in which was an uneccesary play. Then he feasted off on Bergy who isn't a fighter in his own right and was just being a good teammate.

Rivet should kick Bergys ass as bergy has fought one time in his pro carrer. So for you want credit for beating him up then go ahead. Rivets play was bush, he saw they were going to go and he proceeded to come in and take Thompson down. In my opinion he should have been suspended. I will say it again, if Mair doesn't want to fight then he trutles lets Thompson land one or two and get a game. Don't drop your gloves and let your big tough pussy captain fight your battle for you.

Who cares about pointing fingers really. No one was suspended and it made the game more entertaining so lets leave it at that. And Buffalo won 7-1 so it's all good in my book. And the Rangers were dealt their first loss of the season.

What happen today? Paul mara whipped Kaleta given it was dirty by Mara pounding the guy when he didn't take his gloves off. Mair could have declined the invite to fight. Instead he dropped the gloves, after dropping the gloves if he decided not to fight then he turtles and gets a powerplay for his team. Like Rivet said in todays paper, with Connolly and Gaustad out injured, Buffalo is very thin at center and can' afford Mair to reinjure his recently repaired knee. He only jumped in to keep Mair from injuring his knee. That's why he was voted captain. He watches out for him teammates.
