We must be careful with Marian apperitions. I'm not one to judge if these are infact true or not true. But the devil is tricky, he knows how to twist things. A Marian devotion is a wonderful thing if understood, however we should stick with the well known apperitions such as Fatima and Lourds. With these new ones things are still unclear. Pray that we may know, do not stray from Christ, and pray the Rosary daily for the sins of the world, along with the Divine Mercy, God Bless

The images we do have are merely the same thing as the photographs of the people you love in your wallet. Your children or wife. @Generel5555 Thanks for the comment. The Book of Macabees is one of the apocrypha books which is NOT divinely inspired. It doesn't contain God's word. If you do a quick comparison of Macabees with the rest of the Bible you will find many contradictions. This is why the books of the apocrypha were not included in the original canon.

I don't see anything. Why has that blob of light been claimed to be St Mary? I don't see any figure or resemblence. If a human female appeared and floated in front of a church (or anywhere else for that matter) I would think it would be very extraordinary! If it was a clever hoax then it is likely that no electrical devices were used. I remember reading that some magician used mirrors during WW2 to trick the Germans by creating an illusion of an invisible army (or something like that I ought to research the details) maybe something similar happened here. Of course it could just be a unexplained natural event.
If a human female appeared and floated infront of a church, you would think there were some pretty good cables involved in the operation. We both know that this is what would come to your mind. It is what Satan will automatically put into your mind.
Look at time 1:00 in the video, that looks very clear to me. Besides, as we kept praising St. Mary, the apparition kept appearing for 2 years. It didn't stop, no saint told someone, "no guys, it's me."
Whether this WW2 thing happened or not, I don't know. But the Christians in Egypt don't have the luxury of being supported by a massive military operation in the theatre of war, and this was not a one time event, like I said, it happened over a period of two years.

The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity(Tri-unity/ONE GOD) and He was always in the world. What Christ meant when He said "Holy Spirit cannot come until I finish and go" is that Christ was Sanctifying human Nature and finished when He ascended into heaven. He sanctified Human Nature and now we are able to become worthy vessels worthy to CONTAIN the Holy Spirit within us whereas before he sanctified Human Nature and brought it into Heaven we were not able to contain the Holy Spirit like this.

We must be careful with Marian apperitions. I'm not one to judge if these are infact true or not true. But the devil is tricky, he knows how to twist things. A Marian devotion is a wonderful thing if understood, however we should stick with the well known apperitions such as Fatima and Lourds. With these new ones things are still unclear. Pray that we may know, do not stray from Christ, and pray the Rosary daily for the sins of the world, along with the Divine Mercy, God Bless

The images we do have are merely the same thing as the photographs of the people you love in your wallet. Your children or wife. We look on the communion of saitns our brothers and sisters and marry, and we ask them to pray for us and we like to look at images of them because we love them just like we love our living brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jesus walked through the Temple in Jerusalem (the holiest place ever constructed) and encountered servants of the devil--the money changers and their tables, which he overturned--yet they were there. Satan is the "Prince of the Power of the Air" and has been given reign over Earth until Jesus removes him. He can do what he wants until then.

If you do a quick comparison of Macabees with the rest of the Bible you will find many contradictions. This is why the books of the apocrypha were not included in the original canon.

By definition immortality means; deathless,everlasting,eternal, having no beginning or end, diety, divine. Jesus was divine. 1Tim6:14-16 says only God is immortal. Jesus was before the foundation of the world 1Pet1:20. Jesus said "Before Abraham was I AM" Jn8:58. Mary was mortal. She had a beginning and end. Shes dead. The apparitions are deceptions. A statue is merely an image like a photograph of your children... should your children be jealous if while on a trip away from them you look at your photo of them lovingly? First of all ... this is not Catholic event, it happened in a COPTIC ORTHODOX Church in EGYPT, before even catholic church Invented, this was hundreds of years ago, which really drop your case ... Many modern thinkers in the West do not believe in the miracles of our Master. To my mind, its already a miracle that there are still spiritual people in the West at all. In America, for example, one sees a good deal of Christianity, but it does not address the spiritual needs of the people. It is saturated with materialism.

PS: My dad lived in zeitun at that time and him and his whole family saw her,the governement actually cut off electicity to the area to make sure that it wasn't a hoax done with lights.........put she still kept appearing and doing miracles especially to muslims cuz it was a troubled time then and we needed her.thx for uploading this.

(sigh) just google 'st mary apparation hoax' and click the second link. I frankly don't care if people beleive this to be St Mary floating outside St Marys church (its not like its anyone elses church of course) but those who don't belive it are also entitled to their opinion. To clear matters up she should reappear and using new HD technology we will be able to get a clearer picture and shed some light on the matter (I know terrible puns).

You are entitled to your opinions about matters that are open to an opinion. For example, you're entitled to an opinion about what your favorite ice cream flavor is. You are not entitled to your opinion as to matters of fact. If it is raining and you say it is not, you are not entitled to that opinion, you would just be wrong.
If St. Mary were to do any of the things you mentioned, you'd probably find ways to explain them off too (and perhaps suggest she should appear as light).

Except that there were 1 million eyewitnesses and hundreds were interviewed who confirmed that they saw the same thing that is shown in these photos. In other words, their descriptions all agreed and describe what is shown in these photos.
EVEN IF these photos were "photo-shopped" (notice that photoshop in 1968 was nothing like an Adobe Photo program), the apparitions are credible on the eye-witness testimony only. Of course we have the negatives of these photos - no photo shop.

I don't see anything. Why has that blob of light been claimed to be St Mary? I don't see any figure or resemblence. It is certainly more likley to be a natural occurrence or a hoax to boost tourism and promote Christianity. I mean why would St Mary take an unrecognisable form of light and float in front of a church? If it was for attention then surley there are more effective ways to get it like at least LOOK like St Mary and communicate with sound. Cue a bolloking from believers...

Er, where did I ever say in my comment that it was a hoax BY Muslims? The fact that Egypt is 85% Muslim makes it MORE likely that it was a hoax by a Christian minority to promote christianity, I mean why would they want to promote it in Christian countrys? As for the apperence of St Mary (presuming she actually existed) I wouldn't know precisley what she looked like but I am certain that she would, you know, look like a human female rather then a blob of light! The light could be Mickey Mouse!

It's a little hard to put on a light show to promote Christianity when every governing official in the are is a Muslim who wants to stop the light show from happening. The authorities shut off electricity to the are and searched a 15-mile radius to try to find any devices.
Well, if St. Mary appeared as just a human female, there would be nothing extraordinary about this and if she were to claim she was St. Mary, you would merely say the woman was crazy

If a human female appeared and floated in front of a church (or anywhere else for that matter) I would think it would be very extraordinary! If it was a clever hoax then it is likely that no electrical devices were used. I remember reading that some magician used mirrors during WW2 to trick the Germans by creating an illusion of an invisible army (or something like that I ought to research the details) maybe something similar happened here. Of course it could just be a unexplained natural event.

If a human female appeared and floated infront of a church, you would think there were some pretty good cables involved in the operation. We both know that this is what would come to your mind. It is what Satan will automatically put into your mind.
Look at time 1:00 in the video, that looks very clear to me. Besides, as we kept praising St. Mary, the apparition kept appearing for 2 years. It didn't stop, no saint told someone, "no guys, it's me."
This happened at St. MARY's Church.

Whether this WW2 thing happened or not, I don't know. But the Christians in Egypt don't have the luxury of being supported by a massive military operation in the theatre of war, and this was not a one time event, like I said, it happened over a period of two years.
Leave it to the Orthodox Christians to explain to you what would happen if St. Mary appeared, we've been talking about her for 2,000 years. You won't go to a calc. professor and teach him how to take derivatives.

I think what you are refering to is not a magician , the British and US forces put up fake tanks and units in the far South easter side of Britian so that the German can think thats where they are invading to distract them while the real forces invade Normandy.. No use of magic or mirrors at all.

The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity(Tri-unity/ONE GOD) and He was always in the world. What Christ meant when He said "Holy Spirit cannot come until I finish and go" is that Christ was Sanctifying human Nature and finished when He ascended into heaven. He sanctified Human Nature and now we are able to become worthy vessels worthy to CONTAIN the Holy Spirit within us whereas before he sanctified Human Nature and brought it into Heaven we were not able to contain the Holy Spirit like this.

It is not easy for some to believe that God loves us so much that he was incarnate and sacrificed his human body to save us. If God doesn't love humans, why then did he create them in his image? It is not hard to believe that God is a loving God, when you get to know the real loving God.
