What idiot took this great character off this show? Probably the same idiot(s) who decided to make so many other changes in Season 2--from the writing to the directing to the entire tone of the show. I hope Sleiman has moved on to better things, because Nurse Jackie Season 2 sucks! It's like watching Gray's Anatomy or Scrubs; it's THAT bad! Bring back Steve Buscemi and all the other phenomenal talent that made Season 1 so fantastic.

@l154479reserve He's just had a part in a 4-part drama The Promise, shown in the UK. It's about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.. he plays a Palestinian in it and is sort of a love interest for the main actress. His part is completly different from the role he had in nurse Jackie - I didnt even realise it was the same actor for ages as he changes his accent so drastically.

I'm really bummed they cut Haaz Sleiman. His character had heart, warmth, kindness, and just enough snarkiness. Plus ... sexxxxxeeee. Shew. I'm going to miss the character, and I think they did Haaz Sleiman a real disservice. Hopefully they'll see the error of their ways and bring him back.

Haaz is a great actor & is a new fav of Mine... Its good to see men of any color take part in a gay role; it not only shows their diversity as an actor, but it gives the director/writer props when the character isn't the stereotyped gay male! I would have never guessed his character was gay until he made a reference...
