Naive anarcho-socialists would like to close the FED and transfer money making to "the people" (government clerks.) But that results in socialism over night since USA's 75% of voters are affirmative action recipients if you count women.
The correct way to do is - allow private banks (including Wall Street) issue their own currencies on condition of no government regulations and bail out with exception of bankruptcy courts.

Trade unions & special interests demand stuff by blackmailing politicians; politicians yield and pass regulations and entitlements; the companies become unprofitable; in order to keep businesses from closing, the politicians select monopolies with big labor and prop them with tariffs, regulations and bail outs. Weak minded blame the rich instead of looking into mirror. 75% of voters are affirmative-action recipients if you count women; add to that trade unions, socialists & dependable seniors.

@ForLiberty888 Uh less than 9% of all private business workers are union. None of the FIRE industries (finance insurance real estate) are unionized. Yet its the FIRE industries which are now going broke and are dependent on gov bailouts to stay in business. WS isn't unionized and they need the FEDS to bail them out to the tune of trillions of $'s. So please explain why those industries who have no unions are the ones running to the FEDs to bail them out.

1) remember, it is usually head count (voter), not profession that important to big government.
2) The Fed keeps interest rate low and drives all savers from Bank Deposits to Wall Street stock speculation. That supports government's and trade union's pension funds money making. Same with insurance companies - they hedge losses.

It is a mistake to think that a "good", "honest", and "able" politician will create more jobs and make USA more competitive. It is nonsense fed to us both by neo-cons and progressives. Capital of real money working in free-market profitable framework, individual liberty and personal responsibility may get us our of the hole in 10-15 years of hard work and meritocracy. My vote goes to Ron Paul who does not want to run the economy, the world or our lives.

@chadberry75 the only reason we dont see the big lines at food kitchens like in the great depression is the food stamp system we have over 44 million people living on food stamps now in this country as soon as they stop handing out food stamps and welfare checks we will see things that are much worse then the GREAT DEPRESSION ever was and im afraid of what happens in this country then

Chris there's several problems here. first is that the Rage against WS is being coopted by Soros Moveon.org and WS firms who donated over 4 million to the NYPD browncoats to see that protestors are dealt with harshly and with brutality.
