  • why there r thousand recipes and ways to prepare simple kulfi which one is the real authentic recipe/way in one Chanel the lady mix one piece of bread (bread in kulfi?) please educate me thanks

  • @oksana170166 : It depends on the age and the maturity of the child and also accordingly assign them the tasks. You will still need to be around and keep an eye on them but it is a good thing to get them involved at a young age :)

  • I'd like to know what cool whip is too?? And what could I substitute this with if I can't get it

  • @Marmalade06: You can use cream and whip it with a whisk until the cream thickens and you get a frothy thick consistency. It should not be watery at all.

  • hey i love ur reciepe but what is a cool whip??

  • @kayamat102 cool whip is whip cream!, just take cream and whip it with a whisk until the cream thickens and you get cool whip

  • Where did you get your hand mixer?.

  • @mamadeeish

You can find it at most department stores. Look in the housewares section.

  • I made this last week. I made about 32 Kulfis and it is sooooooo yummy that me and my husband eat one for dessert every night. Sooo milky and creamy. I am NEVER EVER going to buy a store ice cream any more. Thank you sooo much for this recipe. I a busy mom with 2 little girls - so I cannot stand at the stove to boil the milk and prepare the kulfi the original way. I will be trying variation by adding mango pulp next time.

  • @kookie1219

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you and your family enjoyed the kulfi.

  • your mixer looks like a vibretor sorry but had to say it!! lol

  • can we use Half; half instead of evaporated milk...pls suggest

  • A camel is an ounce...a kulfi is a brick...tell em i need 5 kulfis

  • I absolutely can't wait to introduce this to my Italian family. I love kulfi and just about all Indian foods. I actually have a coconut curry chicken marinating in my fridge over night as I type. Thanks ladies.

  • i love kulfi but how to buy con dance milk and i life in Peshawar

  • Can you make this for me and bring it to me, it looks so good and I am toooooo tired to make it. I know my family would love it though! :)

  • this is not a Dhokra or some other Indian dish. Its Pakistani. But good instructions. Thanks

  • @shahjahaAn lol..paki it seems....get lost

  • @shahjahaAn

It's pretty stupid to say that it's just pakistani, it's as much indian as it is pakistani. It's from the subcontinent...

  • @shahjahaAn this is an INDIAN dish. Get that through your head. It may be used in Pakistan as well, but do not say that the dish isn't Indian, because it most certainly is.

  • @princess4life27 lol you are so ignorant? Indian sweet dishes are not dairy.

  • @shahjahaAn that shows how ignorant YOU are. Maybe not all of them, but there certainly are Indian sweet dishes that are dairy, including this one. Another example is kheer. Judging by your comments, I can conclude that you are from Pakistan. Do us all a favor, and stop bringing conflict. Thanks.

  • @princess4life27 AND @ shahjahaAn - if you know your history you will know that the terms India and Pakistan as well as the arbitrary line drawn between the two was done by the British. Prior to this point, the separation did not exist - it was ONE area - with just the regional and religious differences which developed over time. To argue about which country the dishes origionate from is to argue whether light is a wave or particle - it is both.

  • @rachiti AND @ princess4life27 - well Pakistani ruled over Indian for 1000 years, here the dishes ate by the Mughals came from the Islamic world, and with the pakistani flavour. Do yourself a favour, pop into a Pakistani Karahi restaraunt and taste the heavenly food, over the Indian ones.

  • Can you recommend how I would add a mango flavor? Add one cup of mango pulp?

  • @somia5 : We have never tried it but think that adding the mango pulp should work.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry hi can i use double cream instead of cool whip?

  • @jazz123237 : We have never tried it but have got feedback from viewers who have and said it works well. Take the Double cream, add some sugar and whip it till it is stiff (like egg whites).

    Hope that helps :)

  • @somia5 if you add the mango pulp in this, i think it would be too sweet in my opinion

  • @teencooking1 It makes it taste even better. I have made it wid one cup of mango puree and the result was awesome. I jus luvd it. thank u sheetal and anuja for sharing ur recepie. luv u guys and ur recepies.

  • Wow, this was THE BEST Ice cream I have EVER had in my life. Thank you for the posting. The only variation I had to do was the addition of a pinch of salt and a little less cool whip (1 8oz. tub because thats all I had) and used 1/2 pint of heavy cream instead of whipping cream (my mistake) i thought they were one in the same but apparently not. Nonetheless, this turned out to be THE BEST and Easy. THANK YOU!!

  • @5jabi5jabi

Your welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • luv ur video definitli gona try dis ^^

  • Hi

i am living in Taiwan and m not able to find cool whip,is there any other name available for this cream? And what else i can use inplace this cool whip.

  • @divya12002

If Cool Whip is not available in your country, you can try using real whipped cream.

  • I was wondering... what is cool whip? I live in Holland. What can I use instead?

  • @myrthemoonbeam

Cool Whip is a non-diary whipped cream substitute. Although we have never tried it, if Cool Whip is not available in your country, you can try using real whipped cream.

  • i found an authentic recipe that uses full fat milk only without condensed milk and without whipping cream , less sweet and less fat i guess . my family loves kulfi so iam always trying to find the best kulfi recipe .

  • wow..........i was always critical about the authentic way of cooking something but i think i'm addicted to your channel ..u make the job so easier.....def will give it a try!

  • @zairt

Thank you for a wonderful comment...it makes our efforts worthwhile :)

  • That looks delicious

  • how can we make condense milk /evaportaed milk /cool whip please tell me or tell me alternate for that what local kulifi person do

  • @MewarSanskriti

This is an instant version of kulfi. Traditional kulfi requires you to boil milk.

  • Whao ! Great. I liked the CHEERS part at the end. First time seen someone cheering up ice-cream...:o)

  • I usually buy kulfi now I can make it...nice recipe.

  • I LOVEEEEE kulfi! :)

i'm gonna ask my mom to make this for me! thank you ;)

  • but my mom boils the milk before she puts in the mixture????

  • @M4037331

This is an instant version of kulfi. Traditional kulfi requires you to boil milk.

  • why don't you just use plastic wrap in stead of foil???

  • @inuyashanerd99

Foil is a little more sturdy than plastic wrap and will keep the popsicle stick in place without bending over.

  • @inuyashanerd99 i used to be an inu yasha nerd too =) just saying =D

  • @torterra13 inuyasha is my first anime beside pokemon and yu-gi-oh but i still love pokemon

  • @inuyashanerd99 Me too! =) U play the games too?

  • @torterra13 yeah heartgold and platinum

    starters:chikarita and piplup

  • Very good recipe, thanks!

  • hi..

can u tell me evaporated milk is same as normal milk pkt????

  • Evaporated milk is regular milk that has had some of it's moisture removed, making it thicker.

  • yumm i tryed this recipe & it was deeliciouss-tnx so much:)

  • What is cool weap please.

  • @SahMai cool whip is a non dairy whipped cream (i think!)

  • Thanks for that Bro.

  • two indian chicks and some cool whip sounds like a party to me damn even the way you pour is sexy lol

  • Hello, I have a question: why did you add both heavy whipping cream AND cool whip? They are both the same in my opinion. Thank you

  • Although they are both cream, one is whipped and one is in a liquid form. The combination of the two helps with the texture of the kulfi.

  • which is in the liquid form?

    which is whipped?

  • if we add pista in this kulfi...will it become pista kulfa????

  • Chop the Pistachios and add some Pistashio Essence and yes, you have Pista Kulfi!

    Enjoy!

  • what i noticed from show me the curry videos 1) They are doing good, but the ingredients are not available in India, and as soon as they see your ingredients like ketchup, whip cream, condensed milk, oven, thermometer, temperature 230 degree, bla bla bla, most of the viewers from India are not interested to watch these videos. They want to cook food, desserts which is available easily in their grocery stores. 2)by using these unhealthy ingredients, showmethecurry loosing viewers & subscribers

  • We would hate to lose you as a viewer but please keep in mind that not every recipe is for every viewer. We try to accommodate all of our viewers. If there is an easy way to make a recipe using ingredients available in the US, we feel that we should show it. Similarly, we show vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes, fully aware that not all viewers eat meat. In our newer recipes, we have been providing metric measurements. If we are not mistaken, many people in India have ovens.

  • u rock

  • is there a safferon substitute

  • You can substitute the saffron color with food coloring, but there is no substitute for the very unique saffron flavor.

  • The best way to give the food the yellow color of the saffron is to take two teaspoons of warm water and mix the saffron in it. not only does the saffron strands break down, they also give a lovely color to the water. Pour the mixture then into the ingredients and voila! :)

  • whats that cool whip called in the uk???

    does anyone know?

  • wow looks great!!

  • hmmm this is kinda cheatin can u beautiful ladies do a video on how to make it from scratch?????? cheeerrrssss

  • Once in a while it's great to treat yourself:)

    Enjoy!

  • watt

  • cool whip what it is

  • Wow! This is so simple that I tried it soon after watching the video and the results were great! Keep up the good work!

  • excellent creamy kulfi wow its damn lovely

  • doesn't this turn out to be super sweet? I have tried kulfi a few times and it turns out super sweet (I think cuz of the condensed milk).

  • It is a pretty good balance of sweetness - in our opinion. The condensed milk is the only source of sugar in this recipe.

  • too bad my mom is afraid of having me in her kitchen or i'd be cooking all the time... never got why... i always make good stuff...

  • waooo... yummy dessert... i think i'll try it

  • I am just curious... Since you guys make food from all over India, where exactly are you two from?

  • Anuja is Punjabi, Hetal is Gujarati

  • Thanks for replying.. I could have sworn Anuja was Marathi with her round face and the way she spoke... :) But guess what? You two rock!! thanks for everything you do for us.

  • where do u get cool whip in india

  • have some sense before you speak... They are US-based chefs... My friends and I benefit from them being in the US... So if you don't have any benefits, you might as well watch Rakesh Sethi or Sanjay Kapoor...

    Insulting pricks!

  • dude... you can get anything in india... india has its own walmarts and mcdonalds...

  • What is whipped topping

  • Ach whaere can i buy all these items from ASDA MORRISONS or any asian CASH & CARY?

  • most of the items are available at any local grocery store (US). Saffron is available at Indian/South Asian grocery stores.

  • that was wicked

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • awesome ! awesome ! thank you very much for this great recipe

  • hiii its soooooooooo easy!!!!thanks for the video.

  • wow yummy

  • Gosh, I remember eating kulfi from those little clay pots. :0) For my youngest daughter's b-day, I poured the kulfi into little pottery pots, the terracotta ones and to keep it from leaking out, I added a wafer in the bottom. :) I love this recipe!!

  • What a great idea!

  • 1 16 ounce tub of cool hwip :)

  • yummy,,

  • We dont have cool whip in the Uk so what is it?

  • its just whipped cream with a hint of sugar in it..........heavy cream is whipped cream, just not whipped yet....

  • with this recipe how many kulfi's can i make? i have the plastic cups that you showed in the video

  • This recipe should serve minimum 30 people (maybe even more depending on how much you fill the cups).

  • hey can you make it without adding the saffron because i don't think they have it here i looked everwhere! plz help me!

  • Sure, you can leave the saffron out. Try adding some cardamom powder (just about 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp depending on how much you like it). It'll add a wonderful aroma and flavor to the kulfi.

  • Another easy one for my daughter and I to make together! Thank you!

  • I LOVE THIS RECIPE

  • this is not the best way to prepare kulfi but a good try...

  • is Cool Whip the same as non-dairy whipped Topping ?

  • Yes.

  • wat is cool whip ?? is it easy to get ?

  • cool whip is like whipped cream and its too easy to get

  • I dont think all of the ingredients they've used are found in india!

  • Hi, Thanks a lot for the recipe. Its very easy and came out very well.. As i'm abroad now, i got all the ingredients.

Soon i'll be going back to India, and could you please tell me the equivalent of evaporated milk, heavy whipping cream, and whip topping that I will get there? Thanks once again for the great recipe

  • Evaporated milk is whole milk with about 60% of water content removed. You could try this by reconstituting milk powder with only 40% of the required water suggested. Milk powder is non-fat so it might not be as creamy. Heavy whipping cream is available in India - the same cream that you put in curries. Whipped topping is not available. You could leave it out. The quantity of kulfi will be less, the texture a little different, but will taste good.

  • Thank you so much for the prompt reply..

Yesterday i tried gobi manchurian on your site and it came out well too.. Thanks for taking the effort and putting up all these great recipes.

  • bakc home in pakistan they used to have kulfis from street vendors, it was much simpler than this..but it was cheap..and sweet and stuff

  • OMG HOW MUCH FAT?!!!!

  • sissy

  • How is it sissy? It's basically making ice-cream....you don't go calling the people who provide shops with tubs of ice-cream sissy, do you?

  • of course. what do u think plain ice cream is made of? its pure fat, but we all love it.

  • Hi! aprreciated the kulfi receipe ,pls let us know the alnernative method with fresh milk/full cream milk, would like to know abt rasagola, milkbarfi, peda with the sme,ur quick respone would be appreciated

    Thanking U N Best Wishes

    Champs

  • Are you not supposed to add cardamon? Did it changed the flavor without it or not a lot of change.

  • Yes, you can definitely add cardamom powder to this recipe. Cardamom is a very strong flavored spice and we were trying to showcase the flavor of saffron so we did not add it. It will taste wonderful with it, too.

  • So I finally made kulfi and it turned out really good - everyone loved it at home - Thanks alot for an easy and awesome recipe

  • I always thought I tasted elaichi in kulfi...

  • Can't wait to try this recipe - got condensed milk and evaporated milk - got to get the other ingredients before I make it. Thanks for your dedication in teaching these recipes

  • how did it come out ?

  • Thank you so much

  • that luks real kewl recipe

  • looks good

  • wheres the originality of kulfi?where did whipped cream, condensed milk ,evaporated milk come in from?can't stick to basics?y do u have to modernize evrythinh..shhisshhhhh

  • This is what exactly I think... why don't u guys change its name to sth else rather than kulfi... why spoil traditional dishes with these ingredients..

  • can u show how to make mango kulfi or mango icecream...............and pista icecream

    plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

can u show how to make gobi manchuria and veg manchria

    thanks

  • can u please make ras malai, Thank you.

  • Kulfi - a little like ice-cream? It's a lot like ice-cream; if not, it is ice-cream - Indian ice-cream - but with exotic flavours. My favourite is mango kulfi.

  • Thanks for the delicious recipe!

  • Hi,

I tried the kulfi recipe & papdi chaat recipe of urs,It was really delicious.

    Keep up the good work.

Please post a vegetable(malai)kofta curry recipe.

    Thanks,

    Aarati.

  • what is this fluffy stuff? Is it just ready whipped cream?

  • The fluffy stuff is Cool Whip, a non-diary whipped cream substitute. Although we have never tried it, if Cool Whip is not available in your country, you can try using real whipped cream. Let us know how it comes out.

  • Thank you for your swift response. I will have to use whipped diary cream, can't wai
