  • i love his calm way to describe everything.

  • Wow, I learned so much. Thanks for making the videos!

Can the bridge be longer that 4 bars, and what is the middle eight?

I hear this term a lot (is it an eight bar bridge?)

what is the most amount of bars that a songwriter for pop and rock can get away with?

    thanks

  • I said it before and I'll say it again. Berklee is THE best place to study songwriting.

  • very cool, hah?

  • pretty good info...

  • yes very good lesson, first usefull one for me in a while :)

  • This seems to be the meat and gristle you need to write the good stuff

  • Commen scence if you just pay attention to what you listen to

  • So the full example did D7 E7 F7 F7 G7 with a 4-3 suspension over two bars?

  • That sounds about right.

  • starts on C not D7

  • Yeah, totally. There are 2 bars of F7, he said there was only 1. And he forgot to mention the suspension which gives it such a better resolution back to the tonic of C.

  • Very interesting! Nice stuff man!

    K
