Haven't seen the movie yet - the only Lynch film I haven't seen.Just wached the trailer, and I was wondering why there was a clip from Lynch's "Rabbits" in it ? Are the Rabbits really in the movie ?
@LiliScarlett8 they are. it looks like people are watching rabbits on tv like it's a sitcom or something. it's been a while since i've seen it though so i dont exactley remember the context that it was in. as if it mattered lol but i thought it was good
@garywingrove : Thanks a lot ! It does matter to me, really =) I think it's pretty interesting that Lynch re-uses some of his old movies/works to put in his new ones... I must admit, "Rabbits" is one hell of a sitcom to watch on TV, haha. I need to see "Inland Empire".
@Corleonetone Lost Highway has a plot, it's just arranged in a skewed manner. Inland Empire has, like, 3 plots, and they convene in various ways. It's very abstract, but it still follows a narrative structures.
I read somewhere that Mr. Lynch chose the title of the film after Laura Dern told him that her husband was from the Inland Empire, which is a large metropolitan area in southern California consisting of three counties. Apparently, Lynch liked the sound of the words "inland" and "empire" together and it was then that he named his film. Can anyone validate this? I'm wondering because I happen to live in the Inland Empire.
Bahahahahah!!! The real DIPSHIT is you, you fucking ignoranus! David Lynch is from Durham, North Carolina. How do you feel now-- stupid?? Yeah, you should. Don't open your fucking mouth unless you know what you're talking about, kid. Fucking silly bitch. Hahahahah!!!
Quite the bizarre awesome film by the bizarro Lynch mind...

@BringingTheLULZ Calling someone stupid while behaving like a crazed lunatic... nice.....
And btw, Lynch was BORN in Missoula, Montana, and RAISED THROUGHOUT the Pacific Northwest AND Durham, NC....
So it looks like you're dispensing advice that you yourself can't even follow...

I read that in Empire film magazine, so I guess it's true

@BringingTheLULZ I read somewhere, that he found one of his childhood drawing and one said "INLAND EMPIRE"
