If you record directly to an external hard drive, the lag will be reduced greatly, even a usb memory stick.

The upcoming Witcher 2 is no longer using Aurora engine, it's going to use completely new engine made by Project Red.

Well, it seems that you are all oblivious to the fact that this is a game based upon a series of 5 books written by a polish writer Sapkowski... In fact, it's more like a continuation of a story... And it was made by Polish people from Project Red, and distributed by Cd Project... No one from the creators of Baldur's Gate was involved... The only foreign thing was the engine, aurora bought on a licence from Bioware.... Everything else was made by Polish.

There are much more Mods and Addons for Oblivion which make it a lot more fun to play, but you can't compare Oblivion and The Witcher. Oblivion is a First person RPG with a complete free Map. The Witcher is split in chapters and different "Worlds"

THis is the BEST game ever. I've played Oblivion (maxed out all my stats) and Dragon Age (maxed out those stats as well) but the Witcher is by far the most grown-up, beautiful and engrossing game of the lots. I can't wait for Witcher 2!

Mostly minor changes that were added in the re-release of the game, but also two extra adventures that can be played separately.

Considering there were no major bugs and the extra adventures certainly weren't asked for by the community, this is a vote of support from Projekt Red to the gaming community, and definitely an a-commercial decision.

One of the reasons I really like this developer.

@F3YR3 Actually, before the enhanced edition, The Witcher was nearly unplayable. It was loaded with major bugs, insane load times, bad voice-acting, the works. Yet the story was so good that many fans suffered through it. Still, the developer heard these issues and decided it was unacceptable that there were so many problems, so they fixed nearly all of it in the "enhanced edition" which prior owners got for free as a big patch.

Doesn't make the developer any less badass.

Oblivion isn't that great, the arrows fly as fast as a ball thrown underhanded, everyone and their brother can do magic and survive being hit by a warhammer, all environments look the same and no cave actually gets a bit dark and the world is so bland and derivative its nauseating.

Anyway, the Witcher is just a lot less generic, and more graceful, and you can actually make moral storyline choices.

The Witcher is the best RPG of the past five years, it's from the makers of Baldur's Gate.

And Baldur's Gate is made by Bioware ,jeez, how the fuck can you mix that up?! Learn2Inform and then come here and talk about RPGs.And Oblivion is great,cause it's from Bethesda,just a bit older than Witcher.

The witcher is an AWSOME game! I borrowed the CD from my dad cause he got it for Xmas a couple years ago. I thought it was gonna suck to tell you the truth. The start was kinda slow but after i got through the first bits it got really interesting. The story line is pretty cool as is the combat in my opinion. IMO the only cons for this game are the lack of dif clothing, armor and weapons. I would have liked to see a more diverse range of arms and armor.

Hello everybody I am in dire need of help. I drank the potion that Vesemir gave me and I entered the interior of Kaer Morhen. But when the loading ends I am inside Kaer Morhen but I cant move! Nothing happens, I cant draw my sword or anything else. When I click on my map it says "Kaer Morhen Exterior". PLEASE HELP
