Hi ! Since the day I've seen Bowie in concert in Bercy (Paris), I'm always happy to see him playing & singing everywhere he could have sing. I didn't know this song, and I got almost all Bowie had put on the web (17 CDs). I've searched the chords & lyrics,; but couldn't find them. If someone knwows a site where I can find them, I'd be happy to try to record a version of this song...Thanks by advance, even if I don't really believe that I'll have an answer ! Good video ! BYE !
@lorenzino1 : Hi, actually this isn't really a Bowie song, but Iggy Pop. So maybe try searching for that, then Im sure you will find what you are looking for :)
@Sssimone ;Hi ! I answer again cause even if it's not a Bowie song, I like Iggy Pop too ! And you seem to be right, it sounds like an Iggy Pop song ! But both had already written many songs together, I even got a CD where you can hear them both ; everybody's thinking that it's just Iggy, but it's not only him but both. For Bowie, I got 27 CD's of him (all he had put on the web, so 17 CD's+ the albums that I had) so I always find the song I'm searching when wanna listen to him. Cool video. BYE !
@lorenzino1 As sssimone says below, it's an Iggy Pop song off The Idiot. I think it's a co-written tune, but I'm not near my copy to find out for sure. Someone else has uploaded a 1977 version with iggy singing and bowie on keyboards
Are you simone the german girl, that came over my place in paris???in 2003 and you went to the gig for 2 days and i could only go on monday. Remember me? Marie pls give me your mail address . Im living in London now!!!! Pls tell me its you!!!
Hey Marie!! I tried to answer your message, but something was wrong on Youtube, so I´ll just do it here for now. Yes, that sure IS me! :-))) Of course I remember you! Great that you found me this way! I didnt have any contact details after you moved to London anymore either! I´ll try to PM you again later with my email! (or just give me yours)
Yeah, sure, that´s right. Don´t think anyone denied that. But it´s been written by Davd, Iggy and Carlos Alomar, so it´s just as well a Bowie song as an Iggy song :)
Slight difference though; Iggy was breaking up in a sanatorium, whereas Mott were just a good band breaking up. Whatever, Bowie got off the drugs with Ig then & what a prolific period... Great stuff
This song was called "Red Money" on his album .. And the lyrics where different. .I wonder why he changed it? I preferred the album version . . maybe it was too political?

Awwww. David and Gail near the end. What is he doing at 4:17 ?? Did he gave her a kiss on the cheek or was he whispering something to her??

It's better to learn than being ignorant. So, I got to say, this an Iggy Pop's song actually. The opening song on Idiot album.

Yeah, exact, plus Bowie was doing that to help Pop because his carreer was going down. Like he did wit Mott the H with all the young dudes.

Actually "Red Money" was just written to the melody of "Sister Midnight"...and Sister Midnight was written earlier, for Iggy Pops album The Idiot
