All tubes were lost upon finding the radio at an estate house. For decades it was used there as doorbell-transformer. Some internal wiring had to be reconstructed. Especially a very fine wire at the output transformer coil was very difficult to reconnect. A resistance coil was found lying about in the housing. Restored the circuit according to the diagram at radiomuseum . org. None of the mica cap's had to be replaced. Housing was restored using a vintage painting technic.

How coo, and it's still alive! I would love to find a radio from the 20's or 30's in good condition. Did you have to do a lot of restoration?
