should i get a grizzly or rincon? I will be riding pretty rocky and and steep inclines. I wont usually have to go through any kind of water like this.
Yamaha makes the best of everything, outboards, street bikes, snow mobiles and quads. I hope this creek is not a spawning creek!! Most creeks where I am from are very sensitive and driving up them could wipe out a species of fish or bug.

hondas are the hondas of quads, yes they are reliable and yes they run for ever, but they are fugly, underpowered (the rincon has less balls than almost every other brand name utility quad, the griz 550 and kin quad 450 are the only ones with les hp at the crank, but credit where its due, the trannies in those rincons is very nice
off course they got less power THEY HAVE NO CHEAP A** STRAPS ....
BTW yes a porshe 911 have less power then a piece of crap mustang, challenger, camaro does it mean the porshe is slow? go ryde a can-am if you want no handeling no breaking no reliability its the muscles car of atvs
I would have to agree with kyoss...I own a 2006 grizzly 660 and just got a 2" lift and 28x12x12 itp mud lites on the rear and 28x10x12 mud lites on the front and puttin snorkles soon myself and a new exhaust and a clutch kit!
are yamaha's any good? I've owned honda all my life but I'm looking at getting a yamaha grizzly 700 FI EPS, and I want to know what anyone thinks of them?
no i got a can am 800 renegade yea in power speed but no not on suspension but my dad has got a 680 suspension power and speed is beater than a fuckin grizzly
Both amazing machines, the Rincon handles better but the Grizzly has an amazing 4 wheel drive system that nobody can match, and is the better choice for a work ATV which is why i bought a Grizzly. Both great machines i wish my dad had a Rincon so i could swap rides once in awhile.
My dad is comparing these two exact ATVs and can't decide which to buy. He wants to do some light trail riding, but mainly use it for plowing sidewalks in the winter. I've heard the Rincon really needs a low gear for utility work, but that it would be a pain to constantly shift from forward to reverse for plowing on the Grizzly? Which would you recommend for light to moderate work like this? personally, I'd be happy with either :)
hell yeah, i got the 700, but the 550 and 700 are the same other than the obvious. great machine, you can literally go anywhere. talk your dad into picking up some 27" mud tires and go to town!
@gigamafligg88 you should get a rincon honda has a geared transmission that gives you good torque for heavy snow and you have no v belt to wear out. the geared transmission also comes in handy for pulling thing, going up steep hills and low traction situations.
Haha, I (the one on the Honda) am paying for it, I love it. They both have there ups and downs and handle better in some areas. We swap all the time. Yeah the Grizzly is more powerful, but the Honda has amazing steering.
I am his son and being I am not old enough to have it in my name he did in fact put under his name, BUT I am the one paying for it.
No, no EPS.
Grizzly is very aggressive, it tries to take you for a ride. Honda is a little less powerful but easier to control. I noticed the Honda has an easier time going up hill and can go in deeper water. The Grizzly is better for the thick mud and other rough terrain.
Actually there are 2 air intakes on the Grizzly. The 2nd one is about level with the bottom/mid section of the gas tank. That intake is for the belt drive system the Grizzly uses. The Honda has a transmission and has one vent higher than the Grizzly's 2nd vent.
@MeppsMinnow actually the intake for the cvt is just to the right of the speedo, and the exhaust right below that, the intake is up high between you and the handle bars, all cvt and intake are as high as possible on the grizzly. The gas tank is below the seat
@yellowghost11 grizzly 660 was the first quad i rode at the age of 7-8 out bush camping with my parents and their friends *the owners of the quad, hunters* ye we see them sum times....but ye that was the firsrt quad i rode. lol now im 12 and cant wait to move up north this year to our house....

The Grizzly is the working machine while the Honda is better for trail riding. If you are going to be plowing I would recommend the the Grizzly.

thanks. That definitely clarifies what I've heard from other people.

Grizz is the best trail machine too.
