Really?? I don't see how the idea of invading moon Nazi's in flying saucers could be anything but a comedy. Also, don't see why people for some reason think that just because a movie is a comedy that it's value somehow diminishes. Satire and comedy are probably the two most important genres in fiction. Just because it's comedy doesn't mean it can't have serious undertones or themes.

Yes, it was bad that we nuked them twice, but it was the lesser of two evils. If we tried to make a beachhead and conquer the Japanese homeland with man power it would an incredibly bloody conflict. Japanese in WWII were notorious for refusing to surrender.
