  • um...

  • I Got The Same HandleBars Buddy!:)

  • Does the shellac make it too glossy and get rid of the grip?

  • Actually playing Shellac WHILE using Shellac... Well I never...

  • does it weatherproof the cotton? i'm thinking of shellacing cotton shoes, what do you think?

  • @mekore It does weatherproof it but not made for moving things. Bar tape and furniture, yes. Shoes would be stiff as hell. Might crack and give it a cool rugged crusty look though.

  • why is there a minor drinking alcohol?

  • @error204 I am 33. The alcohol acts as a natural preservative. Kinda like formaldehyde, but thanks.

  • This is beautiful work.

  • @afterhoursism Thank you much. Actually the job is for sell now. I ended up selling my track frame, fork (IRO Angus) and old campy record headset to a friend who now rides it as a street fixie now. He loves the pedal strike clearance and bullet proof feel of the Angus.

  • The video craps out at 10:32 dies and a reboot by the author is necessary

  • @rapidfireXring It does? That sucks. I will have to look into that. Why would it suddenly break is beyond me. Stupid Internets.

  • Great video brother I laughed and learned what more can you ask for!!

  • Wow, I'm glad y'all had fun with this. Unfortunately, I'd hoped for an actual how-to on cloth tape wrapping. Oh well.

  • @Archer5219 It isn't hard. Just patience and tension. Cloth tape doesn't have lots of give. Overlap and tension and slow and steady. It really helps having a clamp or something to hold them in place when you wrap them.

  • these are nitto b123 handlebars right?

  • i loved this video. there is just one thing i would mention. You have to think about the kind of stem before starting this project. If you have an older style "quill" stem, you have to do this entire job ON the bike or, as shown here, you have to remove the ENTIRE STEM while still attached to the bars. This is because you have to work the bars on to the stem wrapping them up, else you cant get them on. the newer style stems will allow you to clamp the bars on even after a job like this.

  • You are right about the job being a fairly permanent thing with quill. New style you can clamp on and off easy.

Just what I was going for. It can be removed by soaking it down with a remover. In well ventilated area as to not die.

  • Okay that's really funny *and* informative. Nice time there, fix bikes, get drunk, fix bikes, get drunk. Really charming, fellas!

  • It's a dirty job, but someones gotta do it.

  • selling 10 pista bars no tape

  • damn right South Park. 92104 sucka!

Sweet video, can you show us how to wrap cloth tape over brake levers next week?

  • over? you mean like around the actual lever as if it was an old baseball bat? you can use about the same method I suppose. Maybe cut super narrow strips or cloth and wrap it like a sling. Or you can use cloth tape, same stuff used in Ice Hockey taping up equipment and sometimes the stick blades.

    in south park?

    -hero

  • Hello Shellac the band. I saw you at Black Cat a few years back and it blew my fvcking mind. What's a fella gotta do to get an Electric Audio jumpsuit?

  • (9:52)There is the shellac I was looking for...

    Nice work.

  • What's a Harvey's Wallbanger?

I will have to look that one up.

  • the beer cans were something we played off of with the cocktails, to just be ridiculous.

  • i really enjoyed how the beer cans accumulated throughout the film.

  • Tecates?

  • we love it and make more of it....I want to learn how to make a "Harvey´s walbanger" ;)
