I was curious ... what is the pressure rating for this? I am trying to build a launcher that will last me for a long time n eventually would like to get up into high PSI (150+) eventually.
@MrTomcarnahan , The weakest part in this setup is going to be the garden hose. Beyond 150psi you probably don't want to use plastic Gardena fittings. You can switch to brass ones for that. You can also use other quick connectors on high pressure hoses.
Indeed you can use the non-return valve in 2 stage systems. In fact that's where the idea for the 'pin' non-return valve came from. The Crushing sleeve mechanism.
The first CF rocket is just a 1,5 litre rocket. The second CF rocket will be a spliced rocket. And we need a new air source yes :-) But we both dont have a diving lycense so we dont know if we can use a divebottle to pressurise the rockets like you guys do..

@ekitoo2 It stops the water running back from the rocket down the air hose.

nice work

erikw789 have you tryed hurricane tape yet?one layer and a bottle can hold 400psi and more

That is a very fantastic idea for a non-return valve :) Cheap and simple, great thinking

Hi Geroge,
You use the same epoxy resin that me!!! In Spain it is called Araldit. Is the resin that I use for asegurate the couplings, is fantastic.
Could be use this type of valve to be the ignition system of a two stage water rocket?

Hi Daniel,

Very nice idea!
We are now working on a carbon fibre rocket. Posted on the wra site. topic advanced rockets!

Hi Daan,
The CF rocket looks great! Do you have a plan for stacking these on top of each other or will you just fly the single bottle for now?
nice work! I guess now you need an air source capable of higher pressures. :) I'm looking forward to hearing how you go with them.
