Sword Familiar money glitch

this glitch only works on the old game, if you try it on the unlocked version from dracula x chronicles it doesn't work

Since I am playing the psx version on the psp. I have some trouble doing some spells and special uses. I assigned the analog stick which does seem to make it easier to use spells except for the sword brothers one. GRRR! But while doing this I discovered something funny. Maybe people know already although I did not find it in the guides. While doing the hadouken streetfighter move with the jewel sword equipped you create gold coins. Not much,but you create it out of nothing. How cool is that!

I do need to add I use jewel sword as a secondary weapon.And you need to use the jewel sword. It maybe not that helpful but still creating money out of nothing is pretty amazing.

this also works on the psp, ps1, and even xbox version.

for those who have trouble woring the command for the sword broes spell. you buffer the directional, thats the trick XD its like shooting a hodoken in street fighter/... i know this sounds crazy but it works if you buffer

You can do this with just one ring in your inventory, then equip it, and still sell it. I though you needed at least two rings.

Get a garnet from the outer wall with wolf form (just run up some stairs and jump to the far right as wolf) and one from Olrox's Quarters on the way to the sword familiar (below the save room in the huge courtyard screen.

Got a duplicator in 20 minutes from beginning of game.

The reason for 255 is pretty simple. its the highest number you can make with the binary alloted to item numbers, much like the highest IP address is 255.255.255.255.

My guess as to what the pokemon number happened was that 99 was the highest and there was no graphic for 255 so it glitched up the graphic, if you used up the items they probably might be 255.

Dont mind me, just a wandering nerd with no life :P

@omegaPSI2006 It's a shame someone who knew how to do this glitch wouldn't get the significance of 255.

Also, there are 151 Pokemon, so Missingno and its glitchy friends are numbers 152-255, the unallocated Pokemon ID slots. Since they are unidentified, there is no graphical value to display, so the algorithm reads irrelevant data as the graphical data, resulting in arbitrary pixels. Maybe Missingno's graphical data comes from the Hall of Fame data which would explain why it corrupts that data.

Didn't even know it existed. But I finally got the game back, tried it out and got it! Picked up the duplicator after selling a bunch of aquamarines. Just lovely!

Yeah I hear that it screwed up your game pak if you caught it, but I had a few friends back in the day that caught it and their game paks worked fine as far as I could see. It's weird.

lol, I remember MissingNo from back in the day! The two spaces of water beside the gym on Cinnibar island, right?Screwed up your hall of fame if you ran into it. Supposedly it screwed up your entire GAME if you caught it.
