  • Nice! I love my Wattvision also. I think we would have a great time talking about How to hack your electric meter and save the world!

  • Search: hack your electric meter and save the world on youtube to see my 5 minute video on a similar topic.

  • How much did a geothermal system actually cost? How many years to break even? I want to insulate my walls, but i have asbestos siding and can't touch it to drill holes, any suggestions?

  • @frankie2234 You can visit our website for our costs and data. The geo system would be around $14,000 after the 30% Federal Tax Credit. By purchasing the geo system with our mortgage we had an immediate positive cash flow. Your asbestos siding is non-friable and can be removed and replaced if you wish. The nails can be carefully loosened. You can then insulate the house from the outside and use blown cellulose. Ever thought about removing siding and restoring original

  • @GreenovationTV idk bout your math. A 6% mortage would make 14k 840$/year, with all of the other upgrades there is no way to save 840$/year w/just geothermal. Where do you think tax credits come from? The 30% you take will likely end up over double that in federal debt spread to neighbors. HVAC accounts for @40% of your bill. 840/yr is 40% of @ 180$/month. Surely your bills arent much higher than that? Geothermal uses 40%less energy than a standard 13SEER, 40% of 40% is 16-18% savings overall.

  • WaterFurnace is proud that our geothermal products are a part of this amazing home. Thanks for sharing it with us on Facebook.

  • Just bought a 110 year old house in Mass. Love what you did with the place. Keep up the great videos. I need fresh ideas!

  • Good video. I was just thinking about the amount of water wasted with our shower setup. I think I'll put in something similar to what you did here, thanks.

  • I like the motion sensor idea and toilet, but I wouldn't dare take away water flow from my showers. I'm too spoiled! lol

  • Fantastic video. Great job showing how much you can do with any home.

  • This such a great video! Amazing how much energy we could save. Energy efficient storm windows does what it's call: it can be energy efficient and provide protection from the storm. More than likely that house will withstand more than 200 years. Thank you for the upload!
