Well i just listened to Clay's version and Butterfinger's. This is a hell of a lot better. That said, i think Butterfingers have some alright songs. I don't think there needs to be a conflict. Surely they covered this song because they liked it. Also surely country of birth can be left out of it. He looked happy and on top of the world back then in late 1997, with this 6 track CD out and doing well.
