it just takes time, use the analog and place your the top of your palm on the left analog stick and waggle as fast as you can it might work it might not as soon as i started doing it i slowly started to improve and after a while i can now run 10.3 and im sure i can still improve hope it works:D

I have the exact same problem.

I waggle the right analog stick fast and manage to run fast and come 2nd but it really hurts your hand afterwards.

But when i press A and B fast, i dont run fast at all.

a kind of cheat is to hold a cloth round you index finger and rub the run buttons back and forth as fast as possible, you also have to start on the gun in good time or you'll never catch up.

i rented the game,the graphics look better on ur TV, its hard as shit to get use to ... sprinting = AB alternatly ,or rotating one stick clockwise, one stick counter which is impossible to do as fast as AB... and timing getting out of hte blocks is hard as hell its like SET and ur set for like 5 seconds at least. the easiest race is the 1500 meters just takes getting use to , i remember playing the Sydney game and i sucked at first and eventually you consistently break the world record,

Hopefully this game can get to the stage where; you can train an athlete in a particular event and then race in IAAF meets etc to qualify for the Olympics and WOrld Championships whilst completing a calendar season.. Similar to Top SPin Tennis
