  • the ONE and ONLY ... VOICE .....

  • is it just my impression or Paul looks here like Chevy Chase?

  • Thats why The Doors tryed to get Paul Rogers after Jim Morrisson died , but the couldnt find him , so the keept going on by themself , thats true !!

  • paul rodgers the greatest rock vocalist bar none!

  • whoa!

  • SO GOOD TO SEE PAUL AND ANDY ON STAGE TOGETHER AGAIN. JUST A GREAT COMBINATION SO SAD IT HAD TO END SO SOON. ITS HAPPENING NOW, BUT STILL,IN YEARS TO COME PEOPLE WILL REALISE HOW GOOD FREE WERE. AT LEAST WE HAVE THERE WONDERFULL MUSIC TO REMIND US.

  • damm how i miss to see FREE on stage today:(

  • Paul Rodgers is THE frontman!! So many now can learn from him, if only they knew how.

  • "Mr. Voice" after 25 years is still rockin' !!! I can say - more better than the others.

  • He gets my vote Hands Down.

  • Jason Bonham on drums? Slash on guitar! Rock on!

  • God bless Andy fraser on the bass

  • Great singer!!!

  • Sorry I am ignorant of such things, I have been away for awhile.

  • @mfl904

Have you been away for 25 years?

  • Is that Slahs? The lead guitarist?

  • @2SuPeRNaTuRaL5 Yes it is:D

  • @Punkerstyle9 Yaaaay! I knew it! :D

  • who is the lead guitarist? The guy with the hat.

  • @mfl904 Its fuckin SLASH Dude how to dont know who he is:) :D ??

  • One of the best Rock vocalists of all time. Madonna is not worthy of picking up the rubbish after everyone has gone home

  • Another not worked out noodling solo which is useless in a carefully penned song like this. Mick Ralphs hat few more notes but something to say. A great song like this deserves a great solo and not a off-the-cuff noodling.

  • Pure gold....

  • what's the name of the song?

  • @jackshill89 Bad Company,

  • Dear, "current day" pop singer (with you over engineered and auto tuned, shit music) Pay attention, and see what real talent looks like.

  • Paul Rodgers the ultimate voice in rock n' roll keep on rocking paul

  • This mans voice is so AWESOME it just gets better with age? WOW!

  • Stage is still muddy from Green Day

  • rock buddy rock on

  • It amazes me that singers like Paul Rodgers, Cat Stevens, Elton John etc. their voices are the same as when they were 25 and now they are in their 60's. I think its a shame this generation doesn't have real music. Justin Bieber is so wet behind the ears, its a wonder the kid don't drown.

  • @888himmler Elton Johns voice sounds nothing like it did when he was young.

  • thats some bad fucking company why they so bad

  • AMEN to getting Paul Rodgers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He's been the anchor to so many great bands, and he just keeps getting better!

  • Paul's voice has held up very well over the decades....unlike say Robert Plant.....then again, Plant's prime years gave us a voice that may never be equaled.

    Two brilliant singers.....

  • Thats Jason Bonham playing the drums.

  • How is it that Paul Rodgers is NOT in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and yet such crap as Madonna swallowed enough sausage to get in just proves the old proverb, "It's wht you know, but what you blow."

  • @CajunMark these passages are from page #17 of The Companions of Jehu written by Alexandre Dumas pere--"Sir, I have heard speak of the Companions of Jesus," replied the magistrate with his jeering smile. "The Jesuits, you mean? That is not what I am seeking, sir."....Elisha consecrated Jehu King of Israel, on condition that he exterminate the house of Ahab; Elisha was Louis XVIII; Jehu was Cadoudal; the house of Ahab, the Revolution.

  • @CajunMark You got that right!

  • @CajunMark ok keep blowing wey

  • @CajunMark Because the idiot who runs the Hall, Jan Wenner, is the biggest sausage swallower of all!!! We need someone else to step up and do a REAL Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...

  • A fantastic performance of this song.

  • I know Paul Rodgers, Slash and Andy Fraser, but who are the drummer and rhythm guitar player?

  • @murfdog19 The Rhythum Guitar player is Neal Schon from Journey.

  • Theeeee Best

  • Great, now how am I gonna get rid of these goosebumps ????

  • Can't believe I've never seen this before. This is awesome. Does Paul Rodgers look like Jimmi Page quite a bit here?

  • when you say woodstock, bestr to make it clear that its not THE woodstock festival

  • Awesome. \m/ \m/

  • the best Rock vocalist.......period!

  • Hear white boy sing!

  • @lukemanify ~~~~~~kill whitey~~~~~~~

  • Must be nice for slash not having a vocalist that screams and shrieks his way through a number.

  • The man has got one hell of a voice, that's for sure,

  • I get chills evertime I hear this. Been listening to "Paul" since the mid-70's and he's still the blues/r&b/rock/vocal god

  • hey cool version,MR Bonham JR ,and it looks a little Schon (journey, santana) on the other guitar!!!

  • Slash can play with any band & just nail it OR make it even better!

  • the One and ONLY rock voice...

  • wut song is this called?? its so sick...paul rogers is the shit

  • @bigjmp89 The song is called "Bad Company", off the album "Bad Company", by a long ago band fronted by Paul Rodgers, which coincidentally was named "Bad Company". See the trend there? Just kidding. If you're not familiar with BC, you need to check them out, along with Paul's prior band Free. Great, great stuff.

  • ROCK & ROLL

  • Who is the person of the guitar? It is good-looking.

  • senza barba è terrificante

  • is this slash on the guitar???

  • @luka9412 Yes.

  • ye its LIVE :D

  • good to see paul and andy playing together.. i miss free wish kossof was alive..

  • @avielknot This video was 16 years ago.

  • "The Voice"!!

  • Who cares about hair. He's a rock/blues/r&b god. lol

  • Paul's a great guy, and a marvelous vocalist, but dammit if he ain't one hairy motherfucker.

  • this video should say paul rogers and slash. why did you mention Andy Fraser?

everyone knows who slash is. not to many people really know of him, even though he was in Free. most people go by the lead guitarist and lead vocalist. Paul Rogers is Kick ass though. thank you so much for uploading this video. do you have the entire concert? I would love to see it. Peace Joe

  • One of the greatest rock singers of all time...along with the great late Ronnie James Dio..Another time, Iconic people!

  • That would Be Jason Bonham on Drums

  • What a great voice! Never really heard of him, surely he should of been a superstar houshold name.

  • @richfire999 He is a household name if you were around in the 60's and 70's.

He sang for Free and Bad Company ,both huge rock bands. Rod Stewart once named him as his favourite rock singer of all time.

    Taasieblues

  • @richfire999 Ain't it a shame how few young people today know Paul Rodgers, but they all know Justin Bieber? That Justin Bieber must be really good!

  • @daven58100 Paul Rodgers along with singer/guitarists Steve Marriot, Mark Farner(formerly of GFR) are probably the only white rocksingers of the 60/70-ties with SOUL and charisma

  • @istimewa1x I would agree for the most part, but don't forget about the young Steve Winwood. Listen to those old specer davis and traffic recordings.

  • Dear@rfw45 , how could I have forgotten about him.

Conclusively, it's Paul Rodgers, Steve Winwood, Steve Marriot and Mark Farner(in random order)

White rocksingers with a wholelotta SOUUUWWL!!!

  • @daven58100 Fuckin' rught

  • @daven58100 i know right im 15 and play guitar and me and my mates are in a band, we play at all the gigs at school, and lots of people are starting to ask to listen to our good old rockin songs, led zepplin, guns and roses ectt...

  • @daven58100 hey im 18 and ive been listing to paul rodgers since i was like 10 he's the best rock n roll singer alive! And Justin Bieber sucks!

  • @bluesman327 That's cool that people like yourself and acdcruleurmom like stuff like this. I guess your parents turned you on to this. Good music never dies. Only gets better. That's why people are listening to this almost 40 years later and will be listening 40 years from now. Can the same be said for most music coming out now? Doubtful.

  • @daven58100 lmao

  • @daven58100 so true, paul rodgers and all other rockers are amazin. im only 21 but ive been brought up with rock music from whitesnake to acdc deep purple etc and they all are way better than any douche bag bieber, some people just dont know the meaning of music until they've listened to rock music :) no other genre can come close!!

  • @daven58100 Im 22 and love paul rogers. Ive met the drummer and bass player from the paul rogers band. They live right by me. The bass player Lynn Sorenson, is also the bass player in bad company and tours with them every once in a while. The drummer Jeff kaython, I cant spell his last name, but anyways, he only was in the paul rogers band. not badcompany too.

  • @Bret1Maverick its jeff kathan.

  • @daven58100

    dave,rich, what's a Bieber?

    ;-0

  • @daven58100 naw; He's just a young punk from Canada with a soft voice that a lot of young girls like!

  • @youngmindedman Jealousy is an ugly thing. For your information he long ago got the title "The Voice Of Rock & Roll" And it wasn't women who dubbed him that.

  • @daven58100 He IS good, i couldnt listen to the crap he does 12 seconds but its not bad music to begin with. its generic mainstream music, oh well. the problem is the hype and the attention he gets. makes me uneasy about the youth and their taste in music..

  • SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Best lead singer ever!!

  • what's the name of this song? :)

  • @follarputa The song is called Bad Company

  • love that voice!

  • look at 2:17

    How Paul used that mic.

  • I love Paul Rodgers wot a voice awesome.

Check out Brian McCombe on you tube another fantastic voice. His version of Purple Haze is ammmmazinnnn

  • What year was this concert?

  • PAUL RODGERS IS A BEAST....

  • Slash is so young here

  • Is this the only appearance Slash did at Woodstock 94?

  • Awesome!

  • baszki tul keson szulettunk

  • Sky High - for sure!

  • THE VOICE....... Nuff said... :-)

  • Super Sänger und Slash passt ideal in die Band, auch wenn auch leider nur für ein paar Songs ...

  • ohhhhhhh man o man, PAUL AND SLASH together on the same stage....my friends- I have just died and gone to ROCK friggin HEAVEN;) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxo

  • Only one person that I've seen ever spotted a quality in Kossoff, I never heard in others, especially of the elite players: if you pay close attention he is always just a bit behind Rodgers so not to take away from him but rather to enhance/accompany PR, the exception being the blazing solos. Even Blackmore, Iommi and so on are either on the same level or even in front of the vocals whereas Kossoff was perfectly positioned just behind -not as loud. Listen to Moonshine. Kos was way underrated.

  • @EarCandyJar

    Your spot on EarCJ.

But did Kossoff enhance Rogers or did Rogers enhance Kossoff?

My take is that they enhanced each other superbly.

Its down to the listener, vocals or guitar?

Whichever is chosen one can never discount the other.... Both are/were superb and as yet their "double act" have never been matched...

  • @Dewstepper - Good question! Vocals are visually easy to spot if/when spitting their lungs & laboring, or, delivering effortlessly even if loud -one could have good pipes thus be loud yet belt'm w/o effort. So I use them as primary guide, then I listen for the guitarist's placement. See knuteboy36's Be My Friend: PR is both loud & soft throughout, Kos is subtle/soft, most evident during Kos' soft(ish) lead solo @3:45>4:20 as he takes it from PR. Blackmore et al would have blazed away there. IMO!

  • @Dewstepper - BTW "Both are/were superb and as yet their "double act". Agreed: perfect match. Kos' underrated vocals equivalent, is Steve Marriott & (Humble) Pie. Check out their "Black Coffee" gigagetawodi's upload, among other tunes. So me thinks, anyway. Boy ..... were we ever lucky to have had soooo much great music during our youth. Peace.

  • @Dewstepper - What a dope I am! I wrote my prev. comments listening & thinking of the PR+Kos line-up, & forgetting this one. Doh! Slash = perfect example as he is fluctuating between on par w/ & in front of PR, playing his part balls out. I feel he is feeding off PRs energy never letting up & being more subtle. IMO, I think PR is pushing a bit too hard, w/Slash right there w/ him so PR can't let up a bit, whereas Kos would have allowed PR just enough room to retract to a comfortable level.

  • woodstock 94 ......jason bonham on drumz n shyt

  • This isn't Woodstock of 1969, that I'm certain of. It sounds good otherwise.

  • @Frankster81 Woodstock 94

  • @GOODY61 - Thanks, I should have known better.

  • Two Icons Rodger sand Slash - Firm Foundations. Radioactive even.

  • Pauls emulating the shit out of Bon Scott in his look in this video.

  • @thefifthhorseman BS- Rodgers came before Scott and if anything Scott emulated him. Dumbass ! I betcha Scott look at Rodgers as one of his idols.

  • @GOODY61 Gee that's funny, first you have to resort to calling me a dumbass..which is useless and no reason to attack me, and second Bon Scott was an active musician from 1964 on, Rodgers didn't start up until 1968. Just because Scott wasn't in AC/DC until 74 doesn't mean anything, he was still a touring musician in an albeit much less popular band at the time. So you get your facts straight before attacking someone who was just making an observation. Dick.

  • @thefifthhorseman Hey man, sorry about the dumbass comment. I usually try to take the high road when debating someone. Still no way possible in my opinion for Rodgers to emulate Scott. Scott would have known about Rodgers probably 5 to 7 years before Rodgers ever heard of Scott.

  • @GOODY61 Bon Scott might well have been active throughout the 60's, but in largely unsuccessful, or at best locally successful Australian bands. Free had come and gone and Bad Company had major international success well before Ac/DC left Australia and Bon sadly passed. Paul Rodgers would probably never have even heard of Scott until his death. Bon was a great frontman, but NO ONE comes close to Rodgers, and i just can't imaging the greatest vocalist to ever breathe consciously emulating anybody

  • @smythe0001 I agree with most of what you stated, although I believe Rodgers probably knew a little about Scott a couple of years before he died.

  • best performance Ive heard Paul Rogers do....great soul, great pitch, and the phrasing on the second chorus just fkn great.....and yeap, what that fkn noblick was doin up there with that sad, dated, 80s guitarist look is beyond me..what a let down, Rogers shouldve fkd him right off....... a great moment.,ruined by Brian Mays granny..................and yes that is Andy on bass.

  • is that slash ?

  • Slash is a fucking embarassment, as is that nasally challenged Axl Rose. What a pair of over rated, fucking purse carrying nancy boys. I can't believe people rate him as a guitarist, no wonder Blackmore rolls his eyes at the mention of the pricks name. Rodgers, along with Mercury, Gillan, Byron and old Bobby Plant, simply legendary

  • @eskimosandcrates a embaressemt you say?! fock off! go lay down your shit somewhere

else! slash & guns n roses are great musicians, i think blackmoore,

or rodgers can't tip that :/

  • @Solodinho115 Thank u so much for that, perhaps you could give me that name of an interpreter?

  • @eskimosandcrates one thing, shut up asshole!!

  • You sure that's Andy Fraser on bass?

  • Hippies & Flower childfren never wore baseballcaps ( not cool), that's how you can tell its not Woodstock 69

  • Paul is the Tony Bennet of rock!

  • Slash is GodO_o 999 Who the Chollow playing the bass guitar

  • @comicfreak11 hee hee, the "gang banger" bassist is friggin' Andy Faser from Free, a harder, and heavier blues rock band before Paul and Simon formed Bad Comapny. That guy was playing with John Mayall's bluesbreakers at 15 years old then joined up with Free, thats who that cholo is. IMHO, Paul Kossoff, original guitarist for free, would eat Slash's lunch, (if he was alive) played with more feeling than most do.

  • Slash can play anything awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Paul looks and sounds better today than 30 years ago, if that's possible.

  • A bit of an eye opener to see both the musical and theatrical quality of yesteryear clashing with the crude, unpolished 'stars' of today. Musicians versus scale runners.

  • @charadester

    "Musicians vs scale runners"

Well put. That clown Slash probably couldn't tell that here was a vastly superior singer to Axel. Maybe Rodgers is the greatest rock singer of all.

  • lol I thought it was 69's woodstock.

  • A voice on which all rock 'n roll singers should be gauged. Ageless.

  • love it *-*

    slash's so sexy.

  • Great voice....but '69 was Woodstock......I was duped to this video.......thought he was going to sing the JM song......not a '07 re-hash of BC.......

  • @LSI155 This was the 2nd Woodstock event (early to mid 90's).

  • Just when I think I've heard Paul Rodgers at his best, along comes a performance like this!

What a great line up,Slash & Bonham give it a really heavy feel.

I'd like to see this line up on tour.

  • Neck...!!! :o

  • sick video love paul's voice

  • Zajebisty! Po prostu....

  • No other voice in rock and roll can transport one like the voice of Sir Paul Rodgers, no other.

  • This is a Bad Co. number and I am sure that The Hunter was on Ton's of Sob's and Free at Last, I lost the albums but I saw Free a couple of times. He is still a cool singer.

  • is this a free song?

    which one is it?

  • The tune was written by Paul Rodgers & Simon Kirke both original members of the band Free. However the tune featured

on the debut album Band Company by the newly formed group Bad Company which included both Rodgers & Kirke

  • @daguitar69 the song is called Bad Company from the Band Bad Company

  • I would like to take a slash on slash, he is so crap.

  • and id like you to fucking kill yourself

  • Bad Co. rocks forever!

  • rodgers with trower would work because he sounds like the bassist/vocalist from the bridge of sighs days. A great idea indeed.

  • I want more Paul Rodgers Woodstock, only 1 song??

  • they also played the hunter

  • how laaaaaaaaaaaayed back is that vocal

rogers has got to be the best rock vocalist of all time

  • Yes he is! lol. Listen to that soulfoul passion in his voice. He still sounds like that today!

  • @nimbusexpress Oh how right you are.

  • yeah slash is so good he was the best

  • Completely agree he makes it look effortless

  • Paul Rogers - one of the greatest singers ever. His voice enters your soul the moment he starts singing and DOES NOT LEAVE

  • I wanna knit a fine , fine rockin' rug with that neanderthal shoulder fuzz while slashela tweedles on.......

  • Would like to see Rodgers with Robin Trower -- that should fill a few stadiums. I suppose it won't happen.

  • u r a man after my own heart.wot a combo !! would fill newark palace for weeks ! imagine PR singing bridge of sighs.oh joy !!!!

  • @bowbridge1 -- What I'd like to hear even more: "Daydream."

  • just noticed that Rodgers is singing most of this song standing out in front of the monitors....he's hearing his vocals from the main PA....for a singer to be able to do that......amazing and very confident.

  • @woobieman ..wow hadn't noticed..he's a gun man
