This particular UAZ is based off of several military vehicles dating back to the 70's with practically the same design. The G class actually resembles the UAZ, so it is the other way around.

I'd like to see the G class do half of what UAZ has done in rallies across the world.

Technically those cars are totally different and were made for different purpouses. What is more Uaz is a War-time construction and G class is produced from 1979 so it can not be a copy of G class. First check than speak.
