@MRobryannn This happened to me at first. Try re-reading the letter from Jaree Ra that you found on his sister when you killed her. I had to read it twice for some reason for the chest to show up...

nah i wont do its not worth it just join theives guild and they will give u a shit load of money especially their last quest for them u have to kill the original leader then loot him and he will give u atleast 10000 gold!!!!!!!!maybe more i didnt count also u get a badass sneaking armor

Hi, Just wanted to say that u r soo lucky I got gold and shitty iron armour while you get ebony -.-, also to AntiSocialPOW, don't go through the gate bridge or shoot from above it doesn't work but if you choose the other route and go round the building you can take out the archer then sneak and shoot the guy chopping the wood.Only a few men will come out one by one and you can easily defeat them with a good bow.The captain sometimes stays in the building using this technique then pickpocket him

hey dude, couple questions! 

im a level 17, and i am just stuck on the part where you are heading towards the ship and you have to fight the captain.

i accidently take them all on at once, is there any small shortcut i can use to pick them off with a bow, or use a shout, etc?/

@scar5191 you notice at 2:51 i was ready to attack, i was going to fight them outside before i saw the captain but changed my mind. the results will be the same. but once your inside its a bit harder to go bow as its pretty much close range in there, however it is possible if you have enough perk skills with bow. @SeniorScales haha sorry i shouldnt have zoomed in on that weapon.. the items in chests are different depending on your level, it is also randomly generated everytime.

@POLARBEARISTHESHIT no0o0o0o lydiaaaaa =( hmm if you do the companions quests and complete it to a certain quest, all the members there can accompany you in your journey. Or in whiterun look for a building by the entrance called the drunken huntsman inside to the right is a elf called Jenassa hired for 500 gold.. it is not a once off payment. You can only dismiss her only a few times before you need to pay again.

I'm at the companion quests now and just got witchcrafted into a werewolf. and yeah Lydia's death was harsh to take, sure she was a bitch gettin in my way but she was an angel also. my death rate seems to have risen above the sky but i want aleo because shes one sexy fellah! btw again, can you come back to this place and loot the chest again?

HE HAS DONE THIS QUEST WRONG1 WHEN YOU GET TO END LIKE HE HAS, GO DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT AND THERE IS ANOTHER SUNKEN BOAT WHICH CAN BE OPENED WITH THE CAPTAINS KEY YOU GET AFTER KILLING CAPTAIN HARGARR!

@AntiSocialPOW The first chest wasn't there with me either. But the questline didn't trigger any further after I killed Jaree's sister in the boat and got the note, probably some glitch?

@norwegianmilk if a chest isnt there thats fine.. most stuff in the game are generated randomly and as for the note. you must read the note in your books options to progress further.
