This episode was so fantastic... the last scene... I mean you just want to go up to the actors and like become their BFFs. I have so much respect for actors who can do that. The way Sherlock can have emotion while maintaining a perfect balance of his character, and how Watson does such a genius job reacting to everything that happens, it's just perfect. And I think why it's so absolutely heart reaching is that it's so real. Every emotion, movement, sound... it's perfect.

I think it happened like this:

1.Sherlock positiones John so he can't see the landing - only the fall.

2.At same moment he's "falling", Molly dumps the duplicate body (wearing mask that Moriarty used to do crimes.) and plants blood. Sherlock lands in back of garbage truck, safe and sound.

3.Homeless network dressed as parametics pick up the fake dead body before John can examine body.

(Or, instead of homless net., maybe Mycrofts people. He was in on it in the original. Maybe, maybe...)

I actually almost cried when he jumped. Well, almost-almost. And being me, that means a lot.

But, at the end I came out with a big grin on my face. Season 2 was amazing. Especially 1 and 3, absolutely brilliant.

Well... I haven't figured it out. Some cool facts:

Sherlock sends a PS in the text message saying "Got something of yours you want back". Sherlock gets something from Molly: a dead body to be used as doppelganger is the most common theory

The lil' actually recognized Sherlock. Or his mask.

I don't understand Moriarty's suicide. A headshot like that would make his eyes pop out. Sherlock insists that John must look at him

I drew the suicide scene XD John can't see Holmes hitin' the floor.

@joaopmpgnr Yer, I thought it'd be a doppleganger body, but you see Sherlock on the floor, and its definatly him, so now I'm just going for arranging a soft landing, cover from the truck/bus, blood which is not his own, and a sppedy get away with paramedics. But I definatly agree that the angle Sherlock makes John watch him fall from is very important.

@Calenmarwen I'm not so sure... There WAS that very realistic mask of Sherlock, remember? The one Moriarty used... And we never got the clearest look at his face (though the eyes have me rethinking the mask idea.) Also, we're seeing things from John's point of view. Wouldn't it be interesting if Sherlock had drugged him with the stuff from the Hound episode or something, and John saw what he expected to see - dead Sherlock? He never did actually see the body land, afterall.

@NekoAlias To be honest I don't remember actually seeing the mask, but it has made me think. I just don't think Sherlock would need to use it, or a drug if the incident was stage managed well enough. Ever watch Jonathan Creek? They use a very similar idea there.

@Calenmarwen I don't think it was shown, actually. If it was, I missed it. It seemed like a small enough plot device to easily manipulate, though. Probably not creative enough on our parts. I've never seen Jonathan Creek, but I'll look into it.

I believe John said it to Sherlock's grave because he felt that Sherlock had done something amazing for him, and he felt like he owed something to Sherlock.

I doubt there's any connection between that personal IOU and the one between Moriarty and Sherlock, which was just Moriarty saying that he owed Sherlock a challenge.

@NekoAlias Lol. I'm still convinced it's significant. Moffat said today (well, it was released today) that 'the fans have missed a massive clue.' Having read all the theories, the "IOU/I owe you" thing hasn't been picked up. We never found out - properly - what it's relevance was. Thus, I remain sure that it's still important... somehow :)

There's no way that they're just gonna let a project like this drop. ACD couldn't kill Sherlock off in 1893 and Moffat can't do it in 2012. The fans won't have it, I say! ;)

How John has to cope with losing Sherlock and returning to his civilian live (maybe his limp will return?). And Sherlock has to cope with hurting the people he's come to care about -- maybe near the end of the episode, we'll see a cut sequence with, "I was always actually there", and find him hiding in various places lol xD It should be exciting and fun!
