personally have trouble finding a good weapon for pve atm. i have fairly high strength (28), but not nearly enough to wield something like the dragon great sword and fairly low dexterity. which weapon would b the best 1 to use at this point and with which enchantment (if any). think that standard +15 zweihender might b 1 of the best but im not sure

@RIPGhostProductions Scaling varies from weapon to weapon, more or less what you see (b in this case) is what you get, if you want to see stats on different weapons, check the Dark Souls wiki

@RIPGhostProductions Lot's of Dex builders like katanas I know, I'd say the build that gives you the biggest pvp advantage is a Vit/End as it can take lots of damage and is good for practice, but after awhile you'll want a different build.

@BradHawk911 Use a transient curse and you can hit them with anything, divine doesn't work on ghosts, only "ghost" weapons such as the "Jagged Ghost Blade" can hurt ghosts while you are not using a transient curse

@USK0A Dark Hand, you get it from joining the Darkwraith covenant, you can join the Darkwraith covenant by waiting with the lorvessel (not giving it to the serpent guy in forlink shrine) until you beat the Four Kings in New Londo Ruins. The serpent Kaathe will be there waiting, he will take you to Firelink Altar where you place the lordvessel, after he will take you back to The Abyss where you can join his covenant. 10 humanity to +1 and you get Red Eye Ord (unlim. uses) extra 20 to +2-Dark Set

i can you help me outt? I know in a general way that scaling allows you to deal bonus damage and that scaling is linked to attributes of your character.

I also understand that scaling bonuses are linked to letter grades. A is better than B is better than C, etc.But, is there a numeric value for the grades?

As in A equals an additional 10% for each additional level, B=8%, and so on?

This could be a big help in planning what to carry when or deciding what to upgrade

I killed the first blacksmith on accident by dropping my controller... he wouldnt leave me alone so i killed him lol, is there any other way to get a +6 weapon? i've put in like 50 hours into the game and im like lvl 60 and it would suck to start over x.x

@nicky397511 after u reinforce it to +5 u have to modify it to +6 then go back and reinforce it to +10... once u've done that take it to the anor londo blacksmith and modify it using quelaags soul... there u go!

There is a way around that weapon repair. If you can find Dusk of Oalicile, she'll teach you a spell which repairs all your equipped items for free. So all you have to do is slot it in at a bonfire, cast it, the swap it out.

@KnewGaming is it ok if you make a guide on the best armor/weapons to eventually upgrade? Like in demons' souls the best bow to upgrade for a dex build was definitely the compound long, while the best sword for dex was the uchigatana, etc. Is there such a thing as "best" in dark souls?
