McNamara didn't advise Nixon, he was an advisor to JFK & LBJ. He told JFk we were losing in Nam and JFK began bringing troops home. But he died, & LBJ is on tape saying he never agreed with just leaving, so he escalated. & Mac, who knew we couldn't win, went on with the damned war.
