i love this song, but everytime i listen to it i just burst into tears, i promised myself, i will, and i mean will learn how to play this for my Grampa, at his Funeral, R.I.P.
@iamcaleblong thats because i had comments turned off for like for a couple years all i kept getting were stupid comments like "you misspelled lynryd skynryd" and "your to young to appreciate this song" and usually in the shittest way possible to say those things so i finally just disabled and deleted all comments then a month or so ago i turned comments bk on but with approval required
you are not too young to appriciate this song, i learned this song when i was 9 and knew the complete meaning of it too. thats stpid! and who cares, a small misspelling, they act like they've never misspelt something. you did a great job. good job. and :) yeah
This song reminds me of my family. Every time I hear it, I'm seven years old again, standing in the doorway of my baby brother's room as my mom leans over the bassinet and sings this song to my infant brother as a lullaby. I still can't hear lynyrd skynyrd when i hear this song, i hear my mother's haunting voice instead.
love the guitar part at the beginning of the song but i also like the whole song :)
