The only difference is how future Trunks must have killed Hirudegarn when he was a kid (and still fighting the androids after Goku's death). My guess would be when Tapion seals Hirudegarn inside himself in the movie and asks Trunks to kill him to destroy Hirudegarn, Future Trunks must have done it, taken the sword, and gone on fighting the Androids.
I don't know why people are concerned with Goku's SSJ level in the F.Trunks's future. He would have died of the heart disease before any of this.

I will aggree though that this version is better than the original. Not saying the original is bad at all, but this song fits Tapion better. It's more intense, and it expresses sadness as well as a, you can call "hero tune". It shows all the elements of Tapion, its sadness expresses Tapions sadness for the loss of everything he held dear, but also sounds like the theme of a courageous hero. The other theme is great, but it's not as intense.
I think Akira Toryama was playing alot of Zelda when he made this movie. lol I mean common, he looks and acts like Link, his mysterious personality is flawlessly similar to Adult Link. Then of course you have the sword. But the big finisher is the ocarina. The moment I saw Tapion playing his ocarina, with the sword on his back, I imediately thought "IT'S LINK!!!" lol
Japanese is better, but I have to agree This theme is simply brilliant, Props to Nathan Johnson he really knows how to make music, The drums and background music behind the Ocarina Melody are nice too, I like japanese melody better, but This theme is nowhere near bad.

I think a lot of japan's music is assembly lined and more often than not really doesn't fit at all with a scene most of the time. Japan really to me has lost a lot of it's magic it used to have they are really no better than over here. But arguing with original Tapion theme really I don't see it being better than the english one so I can see why it was changed, I only admire a few japanese composers

So localization was right to change the theme to where it's not recognized as tapion's theme at all and really you also have to understand that if someone was just getting into anime watched it they would probably hate it. The localization market of anime/manga over here and japan can't survive off of pirating and original content alone.

Doing comparisions you also have to account for the styles of the composers of the music for both english and japanese. The japanese soundtrack has traditional orchestral instruments while the US music is mainly keyboard synth and guitar. I personally like keyboard synth of dbz us because that ost was specifically composed where as the japanese ost has great orchestra and whimsical themes with a specific song here and there but doesn't come off as edge of your seat action music, both are good
Actually, I think you're a bit wrong. The American Funimation soundtrack is more appropriate for Dragon Ball Z, than the Japanese one. After watching the entire franchise with both music themes, I believe that the Japanese music works best with Dragon Ball and the American music works best with Z and GT.

Link played the ocarina, WAY before ocarina of time. he was most definitely playing it on the game boy (no, not colour one, the black and white one) and i'm not sure on this one, but i think he was playing it on the NES and SNES as well.
and no this wasn't invented before zelda it self. it was invented before ocarina of time but not any of the other previous games (which still had an ocarina in it).
In links awakening (gameboy), he uses his ocarina to awaken the wind fish.
the dragon ball series was out in the 80s in Japan, so that was before Zelda. Though Im not sure when Tapion came about. So let me know if im wrong about it.
I don't think that can seen as the "real melody" since the original Japanese version's song was different... But i'd say the english version's song is pretty solid too.

I just like orchestral-like sounding tunes I guess. xD If people like the original, than hey thats cool. :D I dont go posting on videos that have the jap version, and flame it to hell. xD Just enjoy the version you like, and be happy with that. :)

I personally like the english version a whole hell of a lot better. ive heard both and while the japanese version is good i say the english one is better.

man tapions awesome. i wanted trunks to beat hirudegarn somehow that wouldve made perfect storyline sense. but i guess we had to get more goku shoved down our throats, dont get me wrong ive always been a goku fan but i dont like when he gets the win even when he didnt need to.

Link played the ocarina, WAY before ocarina of time. he was most definitely playing it on the game boy (no, not colour one, the black and white one) and i'm not sure on this one, but i think he was playing it on the NES and SNES as well.
and no this wasn't invented before zelda it self. it was invented before ocarina of time but not any of the other previous games (which still had an ocarina in it).
In links awakening (gameboy), he uses his ocarina to awaken the wind fish.

the dragon ball series was out in the 80s in Japan, so that was before Zelda. Though Im not sure when Tapion came about. So let me know if im wrong about it.

I don't think that can seen as the "real melody" since the original Japanese version's song was different... But i'd say the english version's song is pretty solid too.
