  • I wish warbonnet guy would put zips on both sides of the net. like your great vids.

  • @1swampwalker Thanks buddy :o) Really no need for two zips. It ads unnecessary weight :o)

  • Look'en Good Mate!

  • @TheWaggaBloke Thanks mate :o)

  • Well now, that is a nice bug net. Thanks for pointing me to this video.

  • @REXMARX003 :o) I'm sure you would like it if you choose it. Warbonet guy really does good work. He has a great reputation :o) Well worth the coin :o)

  • Are you glad you went with the traveler over the Black Bird? I am thinking about going the same direction myself but still not sure.

  • @7wt As it says in the video description, this is a Grand Trunk Ultralite Hmmock :o) But the Warbonet traveler is pretty much the same deal :o). The Black Bird is a sweet lookin' hammock as well! I like the Warbonet bug net because I like to keep it off in the winter. saving weight.

  • Really nice bug net .......I cant get that kind of stuff in my neck of the woods ..I had to improvise for mine but still works not too bad .

  • @brutallindigo Thanks man! I got the Superfly and net from Warbonnet outdoors! In the USA!

  • Nice clean setup....pro knots, etc. Hammock Guru in the making!

How's that peapod working out? Quality construction? Warmth?

Watch out for them there Grizz bears while napping!

  • @larrylynn123 Thanks bud :o) I haven't used it extensively but enough to be very satisfied ! It is warm. Don't need a sleeping bag in it in summer. Can't wait to try it in the winter with my mummy bag in it. That will be the true test :o) " I collect the claws" LOL!

  • hey Rich, great job as always.... gotta get me 1 of those pea pods, I tried to use a kelty down bag on my hammock but it just too small and too short.... it was like sleeping in a tight tube with a big hole at both ends . great set up dude, love it

  • @meetcha2nite Thanks a bunch dude :o)" it was like sleeping in a tight tube with a big hole at both ends"...LOL! Yeah the pod is 9'6" L x 6' w. It's a big one :o) weighs 38 oz.

  • That's neat! I haven't slept in a hammock since I was 6.

  • @catascouts Thanks! I suggest to do it again buddy :o)

  • Hey man, nice set up you have there. The hiking poles you have in the video, are they the Coleman ones from Canadian Tire ? If they are how do you like them? I was looking at getting a pair and they are on sale this week.

    Take care,

    Bluefin

  • @mustang774 Thanks man :o) Yes those are the Coleman poles. They've worked good for me for two years so I'll have to say...yes, I like them :o) Pretty good poles for the money! You can't expect them to be the best at that price though! You can read other reviews on those at Amazon :o)

  • Great video! This set up looks to be very functional& versatile. Now you just need to find some time to get out use it. good stuff

  • @CampfireTalk Thanks man :o) We'll get plenty use out of these summer and winter , startin' real soon. Thanks for checkin' it :o)

  • This looks like the perfect hammock set up. Five thumbs up! I bet Randy Hood would have like this set up for our recent overnight. Minus 2 and some snow in a hammock with NO Peapod!

  • @EconoChallenge Five thumbs...WOW!...hehe! :o)

  • nice setup man! i like the tarp! have you been watching shugs videos because i think i herd you singing!!! lol what kind of back pack was that and can we get a better look at it?

  • @kilermn Thanks bud :o) I do watch the shugster...hehe! I am also just as goofy...hehe!, just can't do it on vid! I so badly wanted to buy another guitar and play the metal version of his superfly tune...hehe!The pack is a Osprey Aether 85 liter. I probably should have done a vid on it long time ago, but not real impressed by some features! We will see.

  • @Ggreenvideos i know what you mean about the goofy! im goofy as hellbut i cant capture it on video because i dont want it to look like im acting! someday it will come out! you should do the metal version of his superfly tune that would be bad ass!!! it would be cool if you did a review on the osprey, i was thinking about buying one!

  • @kilermn I hear ya! Personally I wouldn't buy that pack again. I like the hip belt. Those are awesome. I don't like the fact there's hardly any external pockets. And it never seems to hold a good shape when packed. It does hold a lot of gear. If I do a vid it probably won't be very soon. Pretty busy lately and going on a 3 week holiday soon. Sorry buddy :o( But we'll see what we can do :o)

  • That is a sweeeeeet rig. Sweet dreams

  • @dragonflyhiker Thanks buddy :o) I shall!

  • Looks comfy. I have to say, sometimes it's nice to have a place to escape from the bugs.

  • @Cr0cket20 Totally bug free :o)

  • @FourReason Hey dude! thanks! Would like to see your CCAS :o) On tour again?...hehe!

  • very cool. Looks nice and comfortable.

  • @hinckleypoland Thanks, it is :o)

  • I think if I continue with the hammock I will just add a separate bug net too. I like the idea of having the two as separate items so I can choose whether I need, or want to carry the net. I guess it just Velcros around your hammock suspension? Are you using Paracord (550) for your structural ridge line? Really like that Superfly with the doors.

    Jim...

  • @Woodenarrows Yes, that's why I chose this route. I like the freddom of not having the net when I choose as well. Yes the net velcros over the suspension. This stuff seems to have very good velcro.550 Paracord is my friend :o)

  • good lookin' rigs.

  • @gcstorm1 Thanks man. I think it will all work good together.

  • Great review Rich....Love the net!

  • @bushcraftbartons Thankyou my friend :o)

  • Well that surely looks comfortable Rich compared to Jim and his first hang the other day.

  • @medicjimr Very comfy buddy ;o)

  • that's a good setup.

  • @thecyr Thanks :o)

  • That is a great looking piece of kit! and no traffic noise....I gotta go IN the car to get away from it....love the location!

  • @bassfuryvi Thanks man :o) Thanks for checkin' it!

  • Nice rig Rich. I know we both have the Hennessy but after seeing shugs setup, I'm looking into the warbonnet designs. I see you're getting a collection of other options too, which is nice for change of seasons and such.

  • @zoolanderfred Thanks buddy :o) Next year I'll do the required mods to the Hennessey's.

  • You finally got them Rich! It all makes for such a clean, sweet setup! You know more knots than a pine wood plank! And you're bug free - modern medicine, I tell ya, hehe! Looks like you're all set now, enjoy it!

  • @wawhiker Thanks my friend ! TOTALLY bug free...hehe!

  • Very cool! I like that setup and I'm going to check into that Superfly w/ doors. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

  • @darthwelt Thanks buddy! Thanks for checkin' it :o)

  • Totally bug free!!!!!!! Haaaa

    Looks fantastic.

Never saw the new zipper design.... do you like it?

I love to see a feller going hammock crazy..

I like seeing and hearing your woods. Birds ... no planes.

    Shug

  • @shugemery Haha! Bug free baby :o) I do like the zipper so far. It allows me to have it open for sittin'! It's great dudes like yourself that made me crazy for the hammock. Actually there was a plane! Damn things...hehe! Always when you're taping too :o)

  • Ejoyed the Video, comments and answes as well. I 've been interested in the netting, peapod and tarp your using, think your vid has solidified my thoughts to pull the trigger on those... Question on the hammock, are you a happy camper with the one your using, or are you considering another.

  • @seabreezeof Thanks :o) I'm happy with my hammock and have no desire to try anything different. :o)
