  • Geez, I just watched Protest the Hero. Brilliant song man! I can see what you mean by a fast solo.

But I think you can do it.

I'll watch the other one you syggested.

  • good god, best cover on youtube. how did you get this sound on your x3 live? Thank you

  • @TIMR007ROX 2001

    Treadplate Dual, 87% bass, 69% Mid, 72% Treb, 82% Pres, 58% drive

    Add a screamer, 84% drive, 100% gain, 69% tone

Compressor, -30dB threshold and 6dB gain, Throw on the gate aswell

I originally got the tone from Custom Tone on the Line 6 website, just type in Redneck or Lamb of God and it should come up. If your really keen to get the exact tone, PM me your email address and ill send it

  • Man, you are good! What song do you find is a challenge for you at the moment? And would you be able to face that challenge in a future clip? Looking forward to more covers. Keep 'em coming, I'll keep on listening. Til next time...

  • @Domzdream My goal is to do Protest the Hero songs, and All That Remains solo's. Both are possible but I need to change the tuning of the ibanez which I don't want to do, or at least not for a long while.

  • @Dilpil01

Yea. I totally agree on that. Man, that always bugs the crap out of me, when you want to learn a song, and it's performed an octave lower or is tuned slightly differently to your standardized tuning.

Last year, I've learned 'More than Words'. And accoustic song by The Extreme band. But I didnt care. I just play the same guitar. Imagine having to retune the same guitar just so you can practice a certain type of song, then tune it back again. ARGH! Might as well buy a new guitar.

  • @Domzdream Yeah I know man. I played in a alternative rock band in one point, and in live situations the singer would randomly decide he wanted it a semi-tone lower than the recorded version, and it would just blow my mind because everything I learned had to be moved down 1 fret.

I would just play it on my Schecter, but you really need a double cut-away body with a thin neck for fast solo's, and my Ibanez is locked in drop D or E standard unless I go get it professionally changed.

  • @Dilpil01

I had no idea one needs a double cut away body for speed playing. What's that?

Have you seen the Japanese guy from the group Dragonforce? Geez, now THAT's fast! Brilliant harmonizing there with the two solo guitars going at it.

  • @Domzdream Double cutaway guitars allow easy access to those higher frets. Whilst I love my Solo-6 for riffing, its quite hard to solo higher up on the fretboard.

Not really a massive fan of Dragonforce, as its all a bit wankery for me, but Herman Lee does have some good chops.

  • Geez, dude. How the hell do learn songs so quickly? Day-em!

  • Yea! Lamb of god!

  • epic!

  • beauuttifully done! :)
