  • great stuff! loved the carrot-storage-idea

  • I don't understand why you invited me to be a friend. I don't know you. Are you after people to subscribe for more money? Just wondering. Maybe you share the ideas I have? You dislike our president and the last one too?

  • first year of me actually trying to keep up with the compost pile. I used an old wire dog kennel as my containment, air can circulate, but it's big enough for me to get my pitchfork in there to turn it. :)

    Love the videos!

  • I wonder if it is a tad too late to plant that cabbage and broccoli?? I am planting Carrots and Lettuces in my hoop house, but I think I missed the opportunity to grow another brassica crop :( Anyone Know?? Great Videos Patty and Mel !!!! I have Mel's square foot gardening book and always watch Patty's useful updates!

  • we are almost done with our gardening for this year :(

  • Thanks guys! Another great episode. I can't wait for next month's. I've always wanted to compost but I have been hesitant!

  • Hey thanks for another awesome video!! Especially tip about leaving the carrots in the ground!!

  • There's nothing like pulling a bag of frozen green beans or sweet corn out of the freezer on a cold January day and experiencing the taste of "fresh out of the garden" summer flavor. BTW, I am a single male, 62 years young and I actually DO can myself. It's great therapy for me.

  • parsnips can be stored in the ground too, just like carrots. parsnips even get sweeter with the cold.

  • Great tips! :)

  • very good.

  • Great vid Patti and Mel.

  • Five Stars!!

  • Amazing to still see Mel out there gardening - I first saw him like 20 years ago when I was just starting as a gardener - Way to go Mel - and Patti - thanks for the advice!
