haha i aint either man. im tryin to say from expierence i know what a 11.5 car looks like and that aint one qaurantee it. that aint enough cam nor enough intake to feed an 11.5 motor. i got a full roller cast iron headed 406 sbc pumpin out 463 horse in a 69 firebird. on a good day test an tune day ill run 11.98's to 12 flats. with a lil bit of tire spin and wheel hop

Nice build. This should be essential viewing for anyone considering an ultra long duration camshaft for street use because a magazine describes it as 'relatively' mild but still streetable. Those cammed dyno queens pump out the ponies but it's funny how often they 'forget' to show the torque curve below 3000 RPM! This, on the other hand, has plenty of bottom-mid end grunt, a sharp throttle response, and enough at the top to boot!
im getting ready to stroke my 355 in my 66 chevelle out to 383 as well, i've got the same cam you have, did you have any trouble keeping the rods from knocking the cam lobes when you assembled it? and hav you dyno'd your motor yet? im hoping for mid 400's when im through, but im not gunna hold my breath :)
no...its a fiberglass hood i made and just threw it on so i could drive it. It was beforei had it supported stiffer and i had the stock steel hood's springs holding it up so all the weight was over the front
just the eagle stroker bottom end kit was 1500 then the heads were performer RPM aluminum (1200) and the cam kit was 300. then theres seals, machine shop charges for the bore, rod clearance, main line bore, baking and media blasting and all of that fun stuff. Then theres the alternator ignition fuel pump stronger rear end and gears rebuild the trans. Its a lot of work and you might be able to get away with $6000 if you do it yourself or maybe $12000 if you get it done at a performance shop.
the orig. motor was a 350 but someone dropped in a 427 when they were racing it. It threw a rod and he sold it to me and I bought a 350 block from a 76 vette from my friend bored stroked cammed and replaced every part there is.
haha when i bought the car it was an all out drag car, and when it was sitting in the pit someone hit the back left side of it and broke the light. so instead of paying $170 for the origonals i payed $10 on ebay for s 10 lights

Never scaled it. Mine is a 73, LWB 350/350. Its the "Heavy Half Ton", it has a big 12 bolt rear, 8 leaves on each side. ETC.
The sticker on the door says 7 something.
