i'm enlisting as an 88m... i'm nervous because 1- i've never owned a car even though i have my license. 2nd- i have no clue how to parallel park lol- i hope we don't have to parallel park.
Do you have to be 21 to drive for the guard? I plan on enlisting in 3months when I turn 18, but would LOVE to be in transportation for the guard...preferably MOS being 88M
i'm 18 and have my CDL, but can't find a fucking job so i'm thinking of joining the army and driving for them. i'm kinda scared of all that training though. how bad is it really? will it make me regret being born?
Look, the army is not hard, and basic training is even eaiser now than it was when I went through. Not to mention that you will be training as a truck driver. Their BCT and AIT are a joke, you wont regret life for joining.
As an officer, you won't be driving the vehicles. When you become an officer, you can be branched into transportation/quartermaster and be in charge on convoys and all the related stuff. you will be driven around 99.9% of the time.
Hey man i just have to lose some weight before i can get in but i am looking to get in by April but if not then May sounds good maybe i can be in boot camp and ait with you for 88M
@MrMicahRushing I"ll be shipping out to Basic at Fort Knox and then heading to Fort Lwood 20100607 as an 88m as well, might see ya there. and @Ledge45 Hooah is not gay.

You dont keep shit alive, we make it so you can do all those things, you are all POGs and I am tired of all the shit talking. All I did was tell all of the stupid newbies to stop putting their shipout dates up, I am tired of getting the email saying when they ship out. We are the back bone, the NCO core, and combat arms, we make you able to have a job. If we werent out there, you would have no need to be around, all you do is make life for us a bit eaiser, but we sure as fuck dont need you.
wow your a dumb ass you wouldnt make it around if u didnt have us but its all good you keep think your the shit man couse your stupid. i hope some one see what a loser you are a think you play the only part that is importent in the army later ass
i agree with joseph88m, im a 91A (tank mechanic) deployed w/ 3rd ID bout to reclass to 88M. every sigle MOS in the army is important. Combat arms isnt the greatest and neither is support, but we need eachother. Were all on the same freakin team but people like Ledge45 gotta start up some BS like that....what a s**tbag man.
im pretty sure I would do just fine, but we could see how shitbags like all of you would do on talking shit without my god damn video.....All I said to everyone was to stop telling me when you ship out. I dont care
Oh, yeah, man. 19K and 19D are some of the most badass jobs in the Army, but see how far they'd get without wonderful guys like the 88M's to back 'em up. I can tell you that the M1 drinks a *lot* of gas. No way could it do without the fleet of trucks that have to follow it around.
your an ass man just couse you dont like us dont mean you have to be an ass there is still some of us that are proud of what we are here to do it take all us to make it all work no matter what your MOS is it plays a part not one of them is fake so step off your high horse and get your head straight and have some respect
88m is definitely one of the backbones, and i dont need to know anything about you to know your disrespectful. Your the one coming to watch a 88m training video then commenting because their talking about their ship dates. Get off the video then. and NCO? i can care less, less than 6 months im commissioned officer.
Listen here POGs, you need to stop posting your ship out dates, I dont care about them. This video was posted as a joke, just like your fake MOS, stop being proud of being support.
Step back their guy! 88M's deserve their due. They may be ate up, but they take some serious risks in the current AO. They work with a lot of Combat Arms units to augment their gun-truck teams. Ever see a heavily up armored HEMTT? They have armored ones, but not heavy enough to sustain a 155 buried as an IED.
Yeah, I was in a 915 that was hit by 9 133 rounds in the An Bar, so I know what happens and what they risk, but I still dont give a damn about when they ship out.
Really, I am the disgrace to the military?? I am a NCO that takes care of my soldiers, and teaches them the ropes. wow who knew you could see this kind of stuff on the net! my husband is in FT LW now in bct training for 88m then he goes to GA for airborne training. i am so proud of him! i love him so much and i miss him! GOOD LUCK all you guys in your futures.
Sup guys. I just finished MEPS and out of nowhere I go from a job similar to a 88N SGT in the Corps to a 88M SGT in the Army. At first I was very disappointed since I will be be performing an MOS outside my "comfort zone". But now I'm a bit nervous, curious, and excited at the same time for my new "adventure" in what looks to be an interesting MOS. If anybody has any suggestions or comments on this, please feel free. Hope to see some of you guys in FT. Leonard when I ship out in late Jan :)
i was surprised how much fun i did have in training in AIT for 88M. I was first in A58th trans, then got rolled to C58th trans. Charlie was way better. Maddogs 42T graduated oct. 9th 2008. Hooah!!
88m bout to graduate ait 4rm ft. leonard wood on the 10th! . waiting for my orderz today!!. going to go to GA after my holdover and do airborne ranger for a lil bit, then gettin shipped over seas!
OSUT is "Actually Army", it stands for One Station Unit Training, its when you go and do basic and ait at one location, with the same group, for the whole time. I am a 19D, Cavalry Scout and was just reclassed for a mission to Iraq, but am back in my Cav unit now.
and you plan on going to be an 88M??? I wouldn't know what you can and can't bring, I went to OSUT, I just got reclassed for a mission. I sure hope you don't get to bring shit like that there though.
Yo!!!!! WTF I grad Ft. Leonard Wood MO as 88m10 way back in 1988, that training saved my life so much in Desert shiel/ storm came back as SGT HooooooRAH !!!
I'm glad I found this video. I'm being involuntarily reclassed to 88M, but I'm getting pretty excited about it. I hope the AIT isn't too tough. I have hardly any driving experience at all. lol
well I was involuntarily reclasses myself, the school was just gay, but I had fun. I got lucky there and was in the truck with my best friend, who was also going to be my TC when we got to Iraq. Just be careful over there, i got blown up a month ago and lost my best friend in the blast.
Thank you very much for this video soldier. I'll be leaving October 31st for basic and will start doing 88M training. I give you solders much respect!
the school is about a month long in fort Lenonardwood MO. They have changed alot since i went to school because of the war and all the truckers go through with combat so the time might be a little longer for school with IED training and building clearing. The job is great but you must love driving or it will get old fast... Good luck
i'm enlisting as an 88m... i'm nervous because 1- i've never owned a car even though i have my license. 2nd- i have no clue how to parallel park lol- i hope we don't have to parallel park.

I give you solders much respect!

this video is pretty awesome, i just reclassed to 88m and i kinda wanna know how long the ait is and stuff like that get back at me if u can
rustyman25 5 years ago
the school is about a month long in fort Lenonardwood MO. They have changed alot since i went to school because of the war and all the truckers go through with combat so the time might be a little longer for school with IED training and building clearing. The job is great but you must love driving or it will get old fast... Good luck
