I do believe that our sexual attraction is determined in the womb. I do no agree that we can be turned gay or that we could chose to be gay. If we are going to accept the fact that homosexuality is biological and innate, then it is a form of abnormal prenatal development, i.e. a birth defect. Sorry if that hurts someone's feelings but it doesn't make it less true. It is not normal development for a man to have exclusive sexual attraction to men , or for a woman to be sexually attracted to women. It's not a super big deal, it's more like a cleft palette. my concern is that if the fetus is ambiguous and the parents choose to make it into (for example) a girl with this treatment, what if as the kid is growing up, she has the mind set of a boy, and considers herself a boy in a female body? how can the parents know what the kids mind set will be? then the parents will have to explain that they basically forced a gender on their child. Female sexual characteristics is different to a female gender identity.
The best this treatment can do is alter a few people to being in line both physically & identity
& just change the condition from intersex people, mixed in their gender identity, some male, some female, some non specific, to gay males trapped in female bodies + all the variations that evoliution will provide. Yes, to most, it would be a female attracted to males. In reality it is a gay in a female body + then you all will have to learn love 2x the amount of, what you consider, diseased freaks.
The argument here is if it is ethical to aletr a fetus in the womb & force it to become female AFTER it has been diagnosed intersex which has a 50/50% chance of producing males & some of them end up gay.
To avert the intersex, this will force all of those fetuses female, but not the identity.
The identity is what calls for the hormanal wash that triggers off the chromosomes that allows for the diagnosis in the 1st place.

I believe that people are NOT born gay. It is based on influences on them in their childhood. For ex. if a mother puts her son into a beauty pageant when they are young, are they more likely to be gay in the future? Yes.

If we are going to accept the fact that homosexuality is biological and innate, then it is a form of abnormal prenatal development, i.e. a birth defect. Sorry if that hurts someone's feelings but it doesn't make it less true. It is not normal development for a man to have exclusive sexual attraction to men , or for a woman to be sexually attracted to women. It's not a super big deal, it's more like a cleft palette. If it can be prevented, sure, why not, it would make the child's life better.

The only way you can trigger male chromosomes if to wash the fetus in testostorone. This wash is called for by the fetus, not the host (mother).
Currently, intersex people get sex changed either straight after delivery (some dont survive the operation) or a short time after. Very few people wait to ask the subject.
If medicine still followed the bible, we would be treating headaches with heart operations (they used to).

For those of you saying that if homosexuality was not a defect it would not be correctable i have this to say. First of i dont believe its correcting any thing it is simply CHANGING it. for example my straight friend could give a girl a pill to make her want to sleep with him when she normally wouldn't.... is that correcting any thing? GID is a condition where you virtually know as soon as you are aware of the difference in body parts. Homosexuality is sexual & is recognised during puberty on average. Some may be aware earlier. This particular story is about a drug that forces the embryo to be androgenised by making the female overproduce androgens, even if the fetus was calling for a testostorone wash which triggers the male chromosomes 'xy'. This story is about intersex people who are born 'xxy, xxxy, xxxxy' etc.
There is no way of knowing if a baby will be intersex as it is up to the host to reply with the appropriate hormonal wash to trigger the chromosomes as requested by the fetus.

The argument here is if it is ethical to aletr a fetus in the womb & force it to become female AFTER it has been diagnosed intersex which has a 50/50% chance of producing males & some of them end up gay.
To avert the intersex, this will force all of those fetuses female, but not the identity.
The identity is what calls for the hormanal wash that triggers off the chromosomes that allows for the diagnosis in the 1st place.
