I don't know. A somewhat angst ridden moody Peter Parker just seems too different from what the character originally was (a nerdy kid who is gifted with great powers and uses them for a greater good), The Sam Raimi Toby Mcguire Spiderman at least seemed to have that (even if the third movie tried to tell too many stories in one film). Visual effects are well and good, but you need a good story and characters too. Does this Spidey have that?

I saw this movie trailer in the movie theater a while ago.

All I can say is "Epic 3D without the glasses!" My stomach "dropped" when he was up on the buildings! Not sure if that was because I was sitting close (in the middle part of the theater) but it was awesome.

Also not sure why they're redoing the movie... but let's all give this one a try. I'll see how it is.

The only thing about this trailer that bothers me is all the fading hahaha. Not that it really matters but each clip has a fade. Anyways, I really liked when Tobey was spiderman, I think he was a perfect spider man. But I'm not a huge fan of comic books, so to those who really do love spiderman, they'll like this movie better case they know the story more then the people who just watched the old movies (me). its simple really. the toby maguire spider man movies, simply ate balls. so they are remaking them, and hopefully with more of a comicbook core focus and not a hollywood wow factor focus. also, focusing on the high school years is crucial for the series, considering its the birth of the hero. also, I like that they fixed the biggest error in the first one. the fact that peter couldnt immediately shoot web from his wrists, and uses a canister like device, which you can see in the last 10 seconds.

thats amazing. I can see why it could be compared to twilight but it shouldnt be. You can see peter's parents left him which groundes peter's sadness and alienation he feels while allowing the possibility to present to future stories if they decide to tell future stories of his parents . The tone has the RIGHT to carry that darkness, peter's parents left him so he has a legitimate reason to be unhappy (its not superficial like twilight), lizard will appear(horror elements) and ben of course dies
