Of course I know Raizing. Brave Blade, Dimahoo are both from Raizing. Dimahoo got plenty and fast bullets, but the player's hitbox is big. This make Dimahoo very hard. The most common characteristics of danmaku ( bullet hell ) STG are alternative fire ( player move slower ) for bullet dodging, small hitbox ( much smaller than you can see ), and slower enemy bullets ( not focus on accurancy and speed, but amounts and narrow space for dodging ). So, I think games without these aren't bullet hell.

I watched every game showed in this video, but only 2 are belong to bullet hell STG. They are Guwange and ProGear, and both of them are produced by CAVE which is the earliest ancestor of bullet hell STG. Everybody can compare other STGs to the two I mentioned. Enemy bullets in the two I mentioned are obviously much much more than others.

yes most of these are not as extreme as touhou shit or cave when it comes to bullet amounts. BUT

well for me bullet hell is arcade hard game.

and lets face it. all arcade shmups are designed to be a pain in the ass and to wring as many quarters out of your pocket as possible. so yeah bullet heck. when playing these. you will die. A FUCKING LOT!

i noticed some of these games have a forgiving collision detection, some bullets will nip you but you wont die. but it still takes incredible skill to get through some of these games (i thought pro gear was pretty easy)
