What is a good FPS for everywhere? Does 360 FPS can be good? I'm good at Long Range and CQB ( and CQC with like ''foam'' weapons but that is with my friends ahah... we have a nice way to play ). Because... I live in Canada and the only nice site I know is buyairsoft.ca and Quebec Airsoft ( a shop in my province ). So, what would be a nice feet per second rate for a gun with wich I could almost everywhere? I don't want to spend more than 400$ thought...

@Fell1208 Look at the sights, Airsoft Megastore, Airsoft GI, and Evike.com.. very good sites. and yes, 360 fps is around average. I have a CYMA CM028C with 410 Fps.

The real L85A1 was designed and manufactured in the UK, at the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield.

The L85A1 was then upgraded by H&K, who were owned by BAe at the time, basically making them a British Company anyway.

The L85 is about as British as it gets.

@DJReddie It's actually very comfortable, with light recoil and a good cooling system. The only downsides are the weight (4kg) and that it is only possible to fire from the right side.

It's also extremely accurate and very reliable.

@hordichuck They were invited to this site as a PR opportunity for the site, the local Airsoft retailer and the Marines.

Most of them enjoyed it, many of them were interested in coming back or learning more.

Simunitions are all well and good, but they're not totally safe, and Airsoft games are way more frequent than training sessions with Simunitions!

@hordichuck Not just the marines, on Airsoft sites I have members of the SAS, Paras, Military Police, Royal Artillery, Signals, Tank crew, RAF you name it and remember a lot of my videos are five years old so you see teenagers in my early videos who are now serving in Afghanistan and they still come back from there to play Airsoft.

It's also something a lot of guys go into when they finish their service, so it makes sense to check it out, get to know the rules in advance

@xXPaintSnipeXx It's awesome mate, less mess, better accuracy (my comparison anyway), great replica guns that feel realistic and you can modify with sights, lasers, lighting etc, and a massive range of different weapons. Plus you get grenades, flashbangs, I even played with a guy who put together a landmine with 1000 peas. And you can play in a range of environments including indoor. It's more like actual combat with all that's going on. Like paintball, prefer airsoft, and they're equal cost

On the subject of cadets, I am one myself and we are now using the army issued sa80 A2. It is the real thing that they use in afghan and other locations. They do make a LSW version of the sa80 which is full auto but you are allowed to have a go on it only if you have a NCO rank. You can not use it on feildcraft for the whole of it but you can have a little go. :)

@SuperMrYugioh Lol, bad timing.At an indoor event myself and another lad went into a room to reload, I jammed the door while he got bbs into his mag and then he was doing the same so I could reload. Unfortunately there was an ex-military lad on the other team and when he realised we were in there he must have been delighted because he kicked the door open, smashing the poor lad, dropped a flashbang AND a grenade on us, and we both had to sit out a few mins to recover lol. And yes, it is an intentional restriction... Cadets don't need full-auto firearms, especially considering that all British soldiers are trained to shoot in semi-auto mostly anyway, Full auto is only really used when they need to put down suppressing fire.

@lukemc1878 That's because Cadets don't often use the L85. Cadets are issued with the L98, which is a special version of the L85 used for Cadet training only . The L98A1 is a straight-pull bolt action version (it is no longer used), and the L98A2 is basically an L85 without a selector cut for full auto fire.
