Dude, my brother spent over 5 years on the mainland and has a Phd and is fluent in Mandarin. I have a pretty good idea of how much "freedom" exists in China.
the WHO (World Health Organization) just rated Beijing as having 5 times the recommended poluttion levels they consider "safe" for human beings.
