@Grimnance: Doesn't it kind of fit his character, though? Honestly, how many times has Zoro gone into battle without some sort of handicap? And he ends up bleeding during just about every fight as well, even the ones he is not participating in. (Ex: When he was trapped in the wax by Mr. 3 and cut his own legs in an attempt to escape.)

Personally, I'm just glad he didn't lose something absolutely vital, like an arm or a leg. Knowing him, he probably lost his eye doing something stupid.

zoro always fights stronger people and almost gets killed pretty much everytime

sanji usually fights the third strongest and never really gets pushed to go all out

@coalkendd Naw dude this scene is just comic relief. As much as I like sangi Zoro has proven to be stronger. He doesn't flat out, out class Sangi but he is stronger. Zoro fights are with very fierce enimies as with sangi some of his enimies weren't as ruthless. Example zoro vs Daz bones/ Sangi vs Mr 2. Those kind of fights have made Zoro tougher.

@coalkendd Of course zoro has proven to be stronger. In the davy back fight saga, he shows that he can fight on par with sangi with out his swords. He trains his body a lot more than Sangi does(i don't think I've ever seen Sangi workout) and has shown to be able to take more punishment than Sangi. Sangi is cool but Zoro has the edge.

@bigblackracoon davy back wasn't a fight it was a game, we both know that either on their own could have beat them in a fight. you like zoro i get it, personally luffy's my fav, there's just no time where zoro has shown to be stronger than sanji. they never fought the same enemy and only one lasted through the fight, oda has never given anybody a reason to believe different

But from what I've seen through out the series Zoro has proven to have a slight edge over Sangi. Also there was a movie where they forught about this girl a Zoro beat him

Zoro can hang around Sanji level of hand to hand combat without swords true but Sanji is very capable with swords or should I say kitchen knives. His technique is called Hocho Sabaki and has only been shown one time because Sanji refuses to use weapons he isn't totally outclassed. Zoro does always fight the second strongest with Sanji taking the third but IMO they are pretty close in power.

Most can think Zoro and some can think Sanji but Oda kind of keeps it ambigious by leaving questions and explanations. Yeah Zoro fights the second strongest you could take that as him being the second strongest or him being the first mate which it would look odd the first mate fights the third or fourth strongest. So we agree with I just think they are pretty close in strength.
