Alter bridge is in my opinion by far better than Creed. Myles Kennedy plays the shit out of the guitar, he plays well with Tremonti, and never mind his singing ability. I m also a Creed Fan. Alter Bridge is Creeds , original Bass Player, drummer and guitar player, But with Myles Kennedy instead of Stapp.

These guys are geniuses. They seem to actually take their time to put emotion into their songs but don't sound like emo children and aren't writing and performing about nothing but shallow thoughts. They are instrumentally, and lyrically brilliant. Vocally, Myles is one of the best, not to mention Mark isn't to bad himself. Both are creative and fresh playing their instruments. Marshall's bass lines are crazy, some of them I can't believe exist. And Phillips is one of the greatest drummers ever.
AB, Myles, every song they have done, the Mayfield Four, and everything they did is amazing. I've listen to all music for many years. It's arrogant to say, but you don't know what you are talking about. It's like walking a cow to the door, but they sit there and die. I can't help you, but I can let you know what an idiot is. I am a big fan of Creed Scott Stapp and Bridge , enjoyed first album One Day Remains, but I feel that this album is a big step back, structure of music is quite simple , lyrics not appealing, no interesting messages, I do not think this album will do well, only one thing Kennedy improved a lot, his vocals much better than on previous album, but even this could not save it

I totally agree. I think CREED was the band that came up with this sound and during the band's absense Mark and Myles built upon it. Myles does add a different feel though. So stop hating Creed and esp. Scott Stapp. He is an outstand artist and musician, but people disregard that because he has made some mistakes in life that he has gotten over. Like those people are perfect.
Kennedy makes all the difference, Creed feels to restricted and commerical. Almost as if Tremonti, Phillips, and Marshall are restricted as musicians in creed. I don't have to give creed much credit because stapp ruins it.

actually tremonti said in an interview that in the last months with creed (around 2003-2004) he could'nt create nothing cause he always have to ask to a lot of people when he came up with new ideas. In AB tremonti feels free to create whatever he want without asking anybody apart from kennedy or the rest of the band. So obviously in AB the real talent of tremonti is shown up, not like creed.
It's almost depressing that hardly anyone will ever hear this song or the other unreleased tracks. This song inparticular is too good to not be heard.

Actually, the ORIGINAL ppl in creed plus myles equals AB- different sound, different voice. If they were still CREED, that would be the name of the band. Creed recorded a new album (not bad so far). They are creed with stapp and alter bridge with kennedy. Both bands have new albums being released soon. Hey fuel has a new lead singer but they are still FUEL, they never changed their name
they r not the same. they sound COMPLETELY DIFFERNT, mark's guitar playing has evolved exponentially, they actually have a good (actually amazing) singer, and can write great songs now
just listen 2 blackbird (album that myles mostly wrote songs on) compared with one day remains (album tremonti wrote the songs on). balckbird is much better. so maybe tey did just replace the singer, but wit tht singer, they got a great songwriter, and a new direction 4 the band.

yep...not right now they're not...the new album is being put off. Myles is working on a solo album and the rest of the guys are recording the new Creed album and playing a summer tour

haha its not true. Creed are still under a contract so they have to make a new album then alterbridge is back in studio for there 3rd album coming in late 09 or early 010 then they tour. So exited i get to see them!

it wasn't on the wide release in the US. it was on the Best Buy version of the CD, and I'm pretty sure that was only a limited release. I have it as I bought it on the day it came out :D but I've heard that people that bought it at Best Buy some time afterward only got the 13 tracks (so not The Damage Done or New Way to Live which were the BB bonus tracks).

They are creed with stapp and alter bridge with kennedy. Both bands have new albums being released soon. Hey fuel has a new lead singer but they are still FUEL, they never changed their name

they r not the same. they sound COMPLETELY DIFFERNT, mark's guitar playing has evolved exponentially, they actually have a good (actually amazing) singer, and can write great songs now
just listen 2 blackbird (album that myles mostly wrote songs on) compared with one day remains (album tremonti wrote the songs on). balckbird is much better. so maybe tey did just replace the singer, but wit tht singer, they got a great songwriter, and a new direction 4 the band.

is it just me or does this song sound better than just about every other song on the blackbird album? the verses have a kind of haunting feel to them, almost zeppelinish.

this album seems a little less uplifting that one day remains, i worry that the record company said 'we need more emotion'... the first album is better i think.

gotta disagree man. tons of emotion on this album, especially the title track (about a friend of myles) one by one (about the troops) and white knuckle (about the struggle to stick together) blackbird is better than one day remains imo

yep...not right now they're not...the new album is being put off. Myles is working on a solo album and the rest of the guys are recording the new Creed album and playing a summer tour

haha its not true. Creed are still under a contract so they have to make a new album then alterbridge is back in studio for there 3rd album coming in late 09 or early 010 then they tour. So exited i get to see them!

the beauty of Alter Bridge is that it speaks to the few in this wolrd that have taste depth soul and vida.

look i have made a comment of a video of alter bridge before saying this and i got people saying wow just dont listen to them if you dont want them to be populer but im not saying taht i mean i agree with you indycoltscinreds they should have more but i dont exactly like it when bands are on the radio all day, it just kinda ruins it for me and besides they specificly said in a interview they didnt want to be a band just for the money and fans they just wanted to be a band with meaningful music

To me every Alter Bridge song I have ever heard has been amazing, they are my favorite band. They write fantastic lyrics and guitar/bass lines and eeverything.

it wasn't on the wide release in the US. it was on the Best Buy version of the CD, and I'm pretty sure that was only a limited release. I have it as I bought it on the day it came out :D but I've heard that people that bought it at Best Buy some time afterward only got the 13 tracks (so not The Damage Done or New Way to Live which were the BB bonus tracks).
