Wow this game is way easier than the ps1 ver. It took 45 mins to kill him at lvl 52. But if ur lvl 99 (god forbid you actually make it that high) u can just auto attk him to death.

The combat system in star harmony is awful, it takes 3 minutes for one turn of combat. Also the art style is worse and the new voice actors are not as good.

You can't even see pictures of the weapons and armor on this one. It's like play FF1 for the NES. The voice acting sucks. They should have just left it the fuck alone. It was great like it was but now they fucked it up.

This version is really awesome, I just wish they hadn't butchered the difficulty level so much. It takes a lot of the *epic* out of the game to just steamroll it. Eternal Blue Complete on the ps1 had the perfect difficulty level IMO.

meh, the final product seems a bit...I dunno, rushed? I feel that especially Jessica's VA seemed to have a hard time grasping for battle spells, the OST sounds much better, the game looks alright I guess, though I would have liked a few more dragon enhancements (looks mind you) and I would have kept the boss system from the ps1 era. It adds more challenge. Not diggin the immunity spells much. I despised Nall's new VA a lot, Ghaleons was not up to par either. As for sly sounding, he was sly. xD

The sad thing is, one of the representatives from Working Designs went through all the trouble of contacting the original Voice actors and they all agreed to reprise their roles, but the Xseed localization team didn't agree to it. Jerks.

Okay, I really didn't like john truitt's voicing from the beginning. Yes I know it goes against the grain but the original I played was in Japanese and that had a very different kind of voicing for Ghaleon... if not better... that I just couldn't adjust to john's... I don't know he just sounds wicked and sly, he doesn't sound at all like a Dark Emperor. Not that Harmony is any better but shouldn't you give this guy some credit? I don't find anything particularly wrong...

Holy shit, the VA sucks bad in this game.

If you ever watched the "making of" of the first and second games, you'd see how much effort they put into actually getting the VA right. It's obvious they didn't do that with this remake. The graphics and music are better quality, it's not nearly enough to make up for the horrid VA.

Erm...yeah. PS1 had the good Ghaleon voice actor, who could make the character have a touch of...elegance, I guess you could say. This guy here, on the other hand, sounds overly aggressive, which is not fitting to the character. That and you really can't beat the maniacal laugh John Truitt managed to pull off for this character.

The only cool things about this remake are the graphics and music soundtrack. Thumbs up! Voice acting was the best with the working Designs crew and as many mentionned, there are many mistakes in the script and some scenes have been taken off. Still, lunar games are the best.

Now I've beaten Lunar countless times and I've heard the voices from time to time, but this..this is what the combat should've been when LSSS Complete came out. Of all the voice actors done in the series, if it was just one that should've come back, it's Truitt. John Truitt IS Ghaleon, we're all convinced. I do like the extra backstory before the main story, it was a nice touch, hopefully now that Lunar is back we can pray for a long-awaited 3.

The dialogue's been changed (for the worse, from what I can tell from all the clips and a few fan reviews), the voice actors are different (maybe a few have improved, but most are crap and more average-anime-voice-actor-like in general), where's the incentive to pick this up ?

The environments are beautiful and I guess the change in the sprites would be a welcome visual difference, but otherwise ? Eh. And I was really looking forward to getting this too.

Alex's line, while staring at Ghaleon, "And that means you!" was very cheesily Sailor Moon-esque. Also, Ghaleon was a lot bigger/more intimidating in his final form in the PSX version--this one is just a head taller than your own characters.

Also, where's the blood that that accompanied Ghaleon's fall in the PSX version (might've been in the Sega CD version as well, no clue about the Gameboy release) ?

@Andylong99 I think there's no other way... But you won't face a difficult boss in the Frontier. Sometimes enemies drops healing or magic items use, it as an advantage. In Ruid, there's enemies that has a lot EXP. Good luck!

As for difficulty while he (Ghaleon) can use Fate Storm, Chaos Shield and a AOE version of Fate Storm I never had any of the 3 spells used even once.

When I first encountered Ghaleon. I managed to keep up with it confident enough that it really is the last battle because it's really hard to defeat him. Sometimes some or my party members die. But I revive them using angel tears or miracle litany. I use mist barrier, then dragon's guard, coupled with Alex and Kyle's empowered attack, then star/silver light is used. After 6 hours of playing + mp items depleted, I lose. I'm depressed to know that I was actually supposed to lose. T_T

The final boss music sounds so much better over the PS1 version. The PS1 version sounded way too quiet for this type of battle. Plus not having to hear Ghaleon say "Time. To. Die!" every turn is nice as well.

PS1 > SSCD > PSP in terms of difficulty. It was really easy to overlevel in the SCD version, but due to the really genius formula for the boss battles on the PS1 version, the more you leveled the harder the boss fights were.

John Truitt = Ghaleon...hands down...this guy did a terrible job with Ghaleon's voice.

Just finished this. I must say i was very impressed, it's got nothing on Eternal Blue but i loved every minute of it even still.

I did find the last Ghaleon very easy in comparison to the previous battle with him (which i found out was unwinnable....after holding my own very well for OVER A HOUR -_-)

Well, it does help that:

-The "boss level" system used in the PSX game (boss stats x Alex's current level) isn't in SSH.

-You have complete access to your inventory, rather than relying on certain characters to carry the baggage.

-SSH has the Arts attack, a "Limit Break" system added after Lunar Legend from the GBA.

-You have a good idea of what to expect from this guy (if you played SSSC).

Doesn't take away from the epicness, though.
