Cant believe I MISSED this on the BBC 2yrs ago......Just when you "think" you have seen all there is to see on this Planet?......the BBC comes up with something new. STUNNING country! Shame on the UK for not taking up the offer to protect it, though and well done Norway for taking up that offer. More countries should follow suit.
I'm now watching this documentry, its so amazing, never quite seen my country like this...thank you Expedition Guyana I will share this with friends and family.Our country is so untouched, most of us live only on the coastlines and banks of the main rivers which haven't change much since our early colonisations...but we know the true beauty lies in the south of Guyana and more inland which most us don't get to see.
@rohan00009 We are geographically in south america. Guyana is not an island. We are however, a part of the caribbean community and considered a part of the west indies.
i liked it better when my country guyana was not really known about cuz people(specifically whites) want to come and start taking our stuff and soon God forbide it be like the other countries with decreasing biodiversity
If they have more value alive than razed to the ground, perhaps these middle class white Europeans can give some of their money to provide a decent livelihood for the local population.
"The only ppl who have a responsibility to Guyana is Guyanese " - that's what I said. And these well-off Europeans have the cheek to tell them how to live their lives, without helping them earn a livelihood.
Wat on earth r u talking about..no u did not say that
nobody is obligated to to help Guyana and its about time Guyanese stop looking for help nd help themselves...those well-off europeans work for wat they have so they have a right to do what they want with it...
i think this is a great vid the meer fact that they r trying to highlight this issue should b enough.
our forest has value to us not them we should stop making excuses nd start taking action.
Exactly..."The only ppl who have a responsibility to Guyana is Guyanese "
Cant believe I was born in such a beautiful place....but ....Log it and burn the rest for cattle raising like Brazil...(they have a race to win...behind China and India).
Because we were once a colony does not mean we should always be expecting a handout. Guyana and Suriname should work with the E.U and not the U.k or U.S. for assistance on conservation and development...instead of going the Brazil way
guyana is great i love it,love it love it hehehe nd u right dont know y them always think it aint got nothing good in guyana.....WE DA BEST lol i got that from my good friend re
i think this is a great documentary for ppl to watch, especially guyanese ppl who believe that their country is empty with nothing to offer...absolutely remarkable....i love guyana!!!!!!!!!!!!

American documentaries are the worst to be honest with you. British documentaries are good but they are not as good as South African documentaries.

Damn I'm so eager to travel to guyana now, hiking around in the jungle. Too bad the trip costs so much. Truly the best documentary I've ever seen.

@where8angels8play,
Actually they are amongst the worst the Brits. Many of their documentaries are full of lies and bias, especially the political ones
