What kinda codec does u have to download to make AMVs? My movie maker wont accept downloaded anime

@xXxMagisterxXx movie maker takes only .wmv and .avi files. but avi files will only be taken if u have the xvid codec installed. I use KLight media player for the xvid codec ^^
