Two things I did after watching this video: Bought that exact same Mr. Brog! Then, changed my pipe packing method, and I've got to say, its a revelation. I've had so many problems on properly packing a pipe until this video. I've had about 3 or so smokes since watching this, and every pipe has stayed lit almost the entire time! Thank you, for both the pipe suggestion and the tips on pipe packing!
My most-used pipe is a Kirstin pipe (from Kirstin Pipe Company) that I've had since the 1990s. I like it most because of how it deals with the moisture during the smoke session. All of the other pipes I've used with the many tobaccos all had problems getting too wet (in the stem) during a smoke. How do you deal with that moisture during the smoking session (assuming it builds up for you, as it does for me)?
Hallo Alan, Mr. Brog is real a good and cheap pipe. I own 2 of them, each made from Irish wild pear wood, and I pay 12 € for the new pipe. Take a look at Ebay Germany, the seller is in Hamburg, selling each week.Alan one question, how is your english dialect called? I like how he sounds. I am speaking bavarian, a dialect spoken around munich and along the alps and parts of Austria. All my best wishes to you Edward
@3thedward Thanks for the comment Edward. My accent is Welsh. I am Welsh and live here in Wales. I find the Mr Brog pipes just fine. Didn't know it was pear wood though. Smokes fine.Take care .Alan.
Very nice. I love all my expensive pipes just as much as the corn cob. I can see how hard it would be, to pick three or four as my favorite. -Johann .H
Such a well made and interesting video. I didn't know Eastern Europeans could make pipes that beautiful, and good smokers too. Thanks for showing us your favourite pipes!
@SmokeRingsPipeDreams That's just like I felt Kel, I am looking at the rest and thinking,"Should I have said this one or that one was my favourite?" :-)
All very nice pipes, Alan! This shows that a pipe need not be expensive to be good. A pipes performance is the most important to me, even above aesthetics.
The Churchwarden is what I ordered by the way.

I too have a difficult time picking my "favorite" pipes. When I do I end up feeling like I am cheating on my other pipes!
Cheers,
Kel
