as a tango dancer i agree with tangopeter1 concerning the eyecontact thing... it would have added more sensuality to the dance and made it even more pleasant to watch

tangoturb: I do love dance. Enough to care about the creative work of generations of dancers before me, and learn from them.

You should read December 09 El Tangauta's interview with Chicho, where he shows great remorse for fucking up a generation of new dancers with his adolescent 'rebel attitude" against tradition. He might finally begin to learn to dance tango.

Great Tango Nuevo dance by Chico and juana ! Their musicality and technical level is without a doubt fantastic and top class level. Wish i could do a dance with skills like that. (btw it would be my own dance not a copy of steps) But there are points for improvement aswel like having the eyecontact for eg.

While they are dancing and doing it on the spot, we now have the opportunity to view x100 analyse and make an opinion on it. Will it change their dancing NO !!! Can u learn from it YES!!!

Personally nuevo is not my style, i love the elegant traditional Villa Urquiza style, but i respect every dancers style. We all dance how we feel comfortable most.

And If Chico has said he regrets it like u mention, he has become an even greater maestro.
