Does this really scratch the phone? It seems like a good case and I'm thinking of buying it, but if its going to scratch my iPhone I definitely wont.
I own three of the cases mentioned, and the reflex is the best hands down! It messes a bit with your screen protector if you docking it in your car other than that it fits nicely in your pocket. But I'm leaning towards the new bookbook for iPhone as it kills two birds with one stone!
Yes this case is great. You can take off the bottom to charge it on a dock. Worth 44.99 but I got mine free because sprint messed up my order ( yes iPhone is now on sprint)
@DunkrusRS - Easy, I'm a klutz and as much as I love the retina display of my phone, all it would take is one drop from any other case onto my ceramic tile floor to turn my pretty unprotected display into a cracked mess. So yes, it does take away SOME of the beauty, but at the same time it still looks great, better than most other phones, and I know that even if/when I DO drop it, which I've done a few times now, my phone is going to stay in stellar condition. That's worth more to me than hav
Really impressed with the review on this, I was just coming in for a quick comparison, but your review was well thought out, you didn't run on too much and the end comparison was great. I have the defender and was looking at the Reflex for an alternative case because, well, there's lots of frustrating bits with the defender. Seeing the line-up side by side it shows that if I want to take a step down, it would have to be to the Commuter, rather than the Reflex. Know that this review really, R
I've had this case for a week now, and I can thoroughly recommend it. It feels solid, is pretty much unobtrusive insofar as it doesn't add too much bulk to the phone and the screen protector which is provided is so much better than the Zagg which I had fitted before.
If you're unsure, well I say go for it. It may cost £29.99 but it's a small price to pay to protect your iphone4.
i have a white defender case it looks fucking epic and it would survive a fucking bomb its so fucking great look how fucking much im fucking swearing fucking fuck
The Commuter would offer no where near the amount of impact absorption that the Reflex has. And I've seen a lot of gaps in the Commuter where the plastic section meets with the silicone, particularly at the top and bottom.
I'd rate the Reflex above the Commuter in terms of protection, and Otterbox themselves prove that. Where you might be mislead is that the Commuter has covers for the dock port and the headphone jack. Big deal. The Reflex doesn't have the looseness in the silicone that the Commuter has above and below the plastic on the sides, because it's one piece.
if you wanted to plug it into the apple dock, could you just take off the bottom part and leave the top part on? or would you have to take the whole case off?
Great review, buy as with others, I happen to disagree with the protection order...
The website says it is between the commuter and defender and outlined why - the crumple zone spreads impact out. This is to say that the shock protection is better than the commuter, not perhaps it's overall ruggedness (dustproof etc)
It has two layers like the commuter, but built together. Your opinion is, of course, your own, but it might be worth considering :)
I would put them in the same order u have as far as protection goes saying that the commuter case offers mire protection then the reflex case that's why I can't see otterbox justifying a $44 dollar price tag for the reflex when the commuter is only $34
Much better than the Impact and Commuter. If I couldn't get the defender or was after a slightly lower profile case, I'd definitely choose this one. Nice.
@wwwinsanelygreatmac While it may not bubble yours it destroyed my PS Crystal and it destroyed theirs that came with it too. I was able to get a Monoprice working. Those are that thinnest on the market from what I can tell.
Besides those I have no clue which ones will work. Mine were also installed perfectly. Unfortunately I have had way too much practice.
@rapaleeman Using the PS Anti-Glare on mine and fits just fine. Bubbles up a little bit while putting the case in but after that, really works out well.
i heard this case scratches ure iphone my friend has had this problem have u had this problem cause i like the blue reflex for my 4s

I prefer the other Otter defender it covers the screen but allows you to use it through it without using a screen protector.

This is the only case otterbox produce a TPU
But it does not work with phone that is already installed by other companies screen shield
Unless the screen shield is smaller than the screen to prevent bubbles.
i give it 2 / 5
