  • the Quincy ca-39 was my Grandpa's ship,he survived the sinking and he lived to be 80 years old, when i was 11 he took his own life, i wish i knew why he did it. i have always wanted to know where the Quincy was and when i found your video a few months ago i was very excited!. i later found videos of all the ships called National Geographic,The Lost Fleet of Guadalcanaland, i think every one should watch them, they are great. The Quincy... i was able to finally see her as she is now.

  • cool video myu frinds

  • i would not be surprised some Japanese soldiers were brutal.

  • well if they kill themseleves before they let them seleves get captured then why wouldnt they kill any enemy they captured. war is pure hell and if the enemy doesnt respect life then they must be dealt with brutally

  • true sadly for the Japanese soldier Brutally was a way of life. As training recruits they would be knock out cold by there commanders.

some soldier unfortunately became so careless of human life and were frighteningly ready to murder even civilians. they set the stages for the atrocities that took place in Nanking china and the Japanese POW Camps. these soldiers mad the good Japanese soldiers look bad.

  • my dad ship on the bottom there

  • which ships was he on?

  • northhamton

  • You mean Northampton. i heard her captain latter committed suicide. Or maybe that was another ship that sank there.

  • YamatoTitanic--Thanks for the video. For over 40 years I have had an interest in the Imperial japanese Navy. And in particular the night surface battles off Guadalcanal. For some reason I find these subjects fascinating. If you have not read this book yet, then I would like to recommend "Japanese Destroyer Captain" by Tameichi Hara. I found this book on the Wildwood boardwalk when I was 12 years old. I have been interested in this subject ever since.-----Thanks Again

  • thank for fair unbiased view. Big difference from usual US propaganda.
