  • my dad had a huge 1 like almost 4 pounds in a 55 gal. long it had one eye and killed a record of 7 other fish

  • Nice Red Devil!

  • When you got it how small was it? And how fast did it grow to that size? Just wondering.

  • my red just died 2 days ago :(

  • why dont you have gravel on the bottom to keep him busy aranging them? i mean something to do, instead of looking out.

  • aint these fish one of the ones that were cross bread to make the "Red Parrot Fish"???

  • my red devil is around 4 inches and in an 10 gallon tank it would just stay in the bottom

    why?

  • its ur water and plus u need a bigger tank

  • lol he didn't die b/c of the bare bottom tank... fish keepers keep their fish in bare bottom tanks all the time. although gravel is a source of beneficial bacteria, most of the BB resides in your bio filter.

  • Thats A Nice Fish

  • does any1 no if a red devil can go with a fire eel?? reply A.S.A.P.

  • nope it would get beat on

  • the substrate dosent make it "haapy" or "sad" moron.

  • @supaflywilkins Although, from what I've noticed, most cichlids have a tendency to want to dig

  • @supaflywilkins No substrate is easier to clean.

  • how did he die?

  • nice fish im going to get 1

  • nice, runnin the vixia v20 in about a week :)

    got the zr500 right now

  • sorry to hear about that. but i have a midas right now. how much gallon was needed for yours to grow that size?

  • it was a 4 foot tank, 75 gallon i think.

  • Cichlids like this get big as fuck no matter what the tank size is. One of these needs a 75gallon minimum in order to be healthy.

  • sorry to hear that he died. Beutiful fish. I also compliment your camera i am amazed at how much better the quality is. I need to get me one :). Do you have any replacments for the fish yet?

  • Thanks for the comment, it really is a great cam. As for fish... no i havent and dont think i will be for a while.

  • aren't you worried your fish

    will break your heater ?

  • how did it die? is this Centrinellus or Labiatum? excellent cam skills of ur friend.

  • its slime coat deteriated.... i tried everything but i was no good :( it was a Labiatum. thanks for the comment. - Marty.

  • how does that happen?? the slim coat is similar to our skin...it protects us from infection...how do u know that it deteriorated? So fascinating...I love Labiatum...They are so rare...u never find them in the hobby only Centrinellum. How big was it?
