Dont misunderstand, I do like this band a lot; I think it was a very cool move for all the former Evanescence members who quit or were kicked out, to form their own group. But using a clone of Amy Lee for the lead singer was a poor move to start out with.
Their sound and style is already almost identical to Evanescence, and with Carly, people will just think they are trying to pretend to be them.

@nikitafrisby They haven't and they CAN'T. Of course WATF copy Ev - it's fact. But 'copies' can't make it all the way. Evanescence made it because they were original, unique. WATF is made up of three former Evanescence members, some guy and a Amy-wannabe. Watf were dropped by their label a couple months back. Ha.
@SummerSnow543 just because WATF got dropped by their label does not mean that the band is over. They have several choices: they can self-promote, find a new label, or disband. As things stand, they've said that they've got some stuff in the works, so WATF isn't over by a longshot.
Evanescence has changed, she is a little less goth :( but I like her new music. Listen to "What you want" be EV. We are the Fallen sounds like the old Ev style, so I belive that now you can't compare Evanescance and We are the fallen, two seperate genras. I love both bands. Both have a distinct sound. I've loved Evanescence for years, but I just discovered how cool We Are The Fallen sounds. I don't judge based on band history; I give my opinion based on the music they make.

@kehcowan Carly is a good singer, but I personally do not like her voice. The reason you hear the comments are because it is Evanescence's original band with a new singer. Her voice does not fit the style of music. She knows no subtlety. Amy has a haunting simplicity to her voice that Carly doesn't have.

I don't see why people are fighting about Evanescence and WATF. I love both bands. I loved Evanescence long before I ever heard of WATF, but that doesn't mean I can't like both. Amy has a great sound that's all her own, it's unique and mysifying. Carly has a great sound, but her's is comepletely different than Amy's, I think they're both great singers and, in my opinion, I think they should do a song together, kinda like when Amy sang with Seether.

I'm a huge fan of Evanescence. I'm the only one who orders all the expensive EP's and stuff from my local music store. But I'm also the only one who has ever orders a We are the fallen CD there too. I love both bands. I think Carly is absolutely amazing, she's gorgeous, talented and she has fun with what she does. Just like Amy. Amy is my idol, always has been. But that doesn't mean I can't love Carly too. I really don't see why everyone treats her so bad. She's not trying to be Amy Lee.

@sowhat80xx They are EV, 3/5 of them MADE Evanescence what it is now. There's a lot more of the old EV in this band than what is left over now that Amy is the only original member left still in the band. And Amy didn't write TOD alone either, give some credit to the rest of the guys who made that album as great as it was. John LeCompt has been working with Evanescence for a very long time, and Ben helped create the EV sound with Amy, I hate how she gets all the fucking credit all the time.

John wrote Taking Over Me and All That I'm Living For and he did the programming for Call Me When You're Sober and All That I'm Living For. And what do you mean "if" they were a band?? They WERE a part of the band, Evanescence is not now, nor has it ever been, a solo act. Also, Machina released an EP in 2007 and have been touring the US since then.

Dont misunderstand, I do like this band a lot; I think it was a very cool move for all the former Evanescence members who quit or were kicked out, to form their own group. But using a clone of Amy Lee for the lead singer was a poor move to start out with.
Their sound and style is already almost identical to Evanescence, and with Carly, people will just think they are trying to pretend to be them.

Her voice does not fit the style of music. She knows no subtlety. Amy has a haunting simplicity to her voice that Carly doesn't have.

I don't see why people are fighting about Evanescence and WATF. I love both bands. I loved Evanescence long before I ever heard of WATF, but that doesn't mean I can't like both. Amy has a great sound that's all her own, it's unique and mysifying. Carly has a great sound, but her's is comepletely different than Amy's, I think they're both great singers and, in my opinion, I think they should do a song together, kinda like when Amy sang with Seether.

I'm a huge fan of Evanescence. I'm the only one who orders all the expensive EP's and stuff from my local music store. But I'm also the only one who has ever orders a We are the fallen CD there too. I love both bands. I think Carly is absolutely amazing, she's gorgeous, talented and she has fun with what she does. Just like Amy. Amy is my idol, always has been. But that doesn't mean I can't love Carly too. I really don't see why everyone treats her so bad. She's not trying to be Amy Lee.

There's a lot more of the old EV in this band than what is left over now that Amy is the only original member left still in the band. And Amy didn't write TOD alone either, give some credit to the rest of the guys who made that album as great as it was. John LeCompt has been working with Evanescence for a very long time, and Ben helped create the EV sound with Amy, I hate how she gets all the fucking credit all the time.

John wrote Taking Over Me and All That I'm Living For and he did the programming for Call Me When You're Sober and All That I'm Living For. And what do you mean "if" they were a band?? They WERE a part of the band, Evanescence is not now, nor has it ever been, a solo act. Also, Machina released an EP in 2007 and have been touring the US since then.
