  • Why wasn't this song performed live???

  • there is 1 beliber!!!!

  • Don't say your trying to get heard. You say your music is awesome, check it

  • great shit hell yea....... niggas

  • 1:22

  • Track 1 side 1.... The song which said " we are gonna be the BIGGEST band in history..". and how...

  • Fucking Rocks!

  • Looking back on how incredible and prolific these guys were, the fact that this song was the first track first album is just so much more awesome to me.

  • 0 00 bonzo

  • there is 1 person having bad times

  • Zep forever<3

  • It's often overlooked, but this LZ song beautifully showcases Bonham's incredible rhythmical finesse. He invented the hard rock drumming style known as "power drumming", a technique incorporating two bass drums which revolutionized the genre and permeates rock drumming to this day. I still get chills every time I hear this song, especially John's drumming!.

  • @m0nkeypill With a single bas drum.

  • i have seen vidoes of him using 2 bass drums i am surely not blind!! maybe he only used them here and there!!

  • ok for all you rockers?? he had 2 bass foots and thatz 1 of the reasons he became such a talented drummers. not many drummers could kick out the rythmn that bonzo did!! RIP john henry bonham PEACE

  • I think Bonham used single pedal. I've seen live performances where he was capable of doing this single pedal.

  • JOHN BONHAM USED A SINGLE BASS DRUM AND PEDAL AND COULD DO PERFECT TRIPLETS. GET IT RIGHT

  • @jamescurtis3636

    thank you

  • John Bonham used a single pedal- what sounds like a double bass is a fast triplet (hi-hat-bass-bass)

  • First song, first album...'nuff said.

  • Thumbs up if the Fighter helped you rediscover a great song!!!

  • This song has the best drumming in the history of rock.

  • raunchy guitar....love it

  • This should be the theme song for some show on TV that'll be soooo cool!

  • 1 people like Backstreet Boys...

  • @jcavaletto708 1 person doesn't know how the difference between the plural and singular form of "people."

  • @tom12121112 Sorry for my english, one person likes the Backs..... :)-

  • ok that was good .....but i need more cowbell,,,,,

  • Was that a cowbell I heard?

  • Y así comenzó todo

  • Hi I love this song ? Thanks my friends a+ andres

  • im a led head

  • @theclintmaster123456 fuck you, goddamn idiot

  • @theguywhosnameis Hell yeah!

  • what a shame that they did not ever play this one live!

  • A wild zeppelin has appeared!

  • thats one pedal boys and girls heel toe toe heel

  • First time I remember hearing that fast of a bass drum.....was it a double?

  • @jong649 that's what I've always wondered, he probably had 2 bass drums, I don't think they had double pedals back then

  • @classicrockhead1969 he used only 1 pedal i think because there's this trick called the heel to toe its where you use your heel to kick and then your toes to kick and it makes it easier to kick faster, I'm a drummer myself, my brother, my friend and i jam out and play some led zeppelin and the heel to toe sounds exactly like it sounds in there songs. i also tried to use 2 pedals and it sounds a little different

  • @classicrockhead1969 one bass drum guys! Bonzo was known for is really fast and powerful right foot. drum also known for his bass triplets — played interchangeably with doubles and singles — which can obviously be heard in this song

  • @davecolombia bass drum*** also known for his bass triplets — played interchangeably with doubles and singles — which can obviously be heard in this song

  • @classicrockhead1969 1. They DID have double bass pedals back then. Well, when Bonzo was alive at least.

    2. Bonham, in his whole career, never used a double bass pedal. He always used a single Ludwig Speed King Pedal with one bass. His right foot was so fast. That's why he's so impressive! =]

  • @classicrockhead1969 yes of course they did! how do you think buddy rich played??

  • @classicrockhead1969 it was a single pedal: This song is also notable for drummer John Bonham's repeated use of a series of two sixteenth-note triplets on a single bass drum, an effect many subsequent rock drummers have imitated, and as well as keeping the hi-hat playing quarter notes throughout almost the entire song with his left foot. Bonham had reportedly developed this technique after listening to Vanilla Fudge.

  • @classicrockhead1969 Pretty sure that's one pedal.

  • @classicrockhead1969 No actually Bonham never used 2 bass drums, he did everything with only 1.

  • @classicrockhead1969 John Bonham had two bass pedals for a short time, but he used thme once in a jam session, but Jimmy Page said that it was too much, and had to hide it from him. John Bonham did it all with one pedal

  • @classicrockhead1969 Bonhams not using double pedals Jimmy just didn't want Bonzo using them. He just has a rabbit foot!

  • @classicrockhead1969 He was using only one kick. I looked it up.

  • @classicrockhead1969 Actually, I know it doesn't seem like it, but Bonham actually used one bass pedal on one bass drum. He trained himself to do heel-toes so fast that it occasionally sounded like double bass strokes. The man was an amazing drummer, not only fast but tasteful too. Even if a double bass pedal was available back then, I doubt he'd use it, he'd probably reject it and say he didn't need it.

  • @JesseyBlack that's pure talent! Just like the rest of them. MY GOD JPJ is amazing on that bass!!!! Love watching him play it on their live performances!

  • @JesseyBlack He wanted two bass drums. RARELY u saw that. They would'nt give it to him, cause Page said it sounded like a freight train.

  • @classicrockhead1969 bonham almost never used double bass drums. He just had an absolutely crazy kick foot. I'm not sure if he was a heel toe guy or what...but I'm willing to bet thats one bass drum.

  • @classicrockhead1969 nope its bonzo fastest right foot in drumming ever

  • @classicrockhead1969 i think he was using the heel to toe technique

  • @classicrockhead1969

Bonham played this with one foot one bass drum he's that fucking good haha

  • @classicrockhead1969 no , he only had one pedal for this recording,. altho in the communication breakdown promo video he is seen with 2 double bass drums. he always played single pedal

  • @n420cowan jimi hendrix dijo una vez que parecia que tocaba castañuelas con los pies jaja

  • @NERO31ZMN I am Canadian... i dont know what language you speek sorry :P

  • @n420cowan its spanish hahaha

  • @classicrockhead1969 its called heel-toe boys. bonzos legendary for it. 1 pedal is all he needs.

  • @classicrockhead1969 Bonzo had just an ordinary single pedal and one bass drum!It was his foot that was extraordinary!

  • @jong649 one bass drum guys!

  • @jong649 its a single he just does liek quads on em hes a beast dude..doubles didnt exist there still new lol.

  • @jong649 no, john didnt use double bass, only single.

  • @jong649 John Bonham Never used or had two bass drums or double pedal he would do everything with one foot hes the greatest drummer of all time LOng Livee Zeppelin !!!!!!!

  • @plo7314 well neil pert is slightly better i mean hes like a machine but bonham is my favorite

  • @jong649 nope, thats a single bass my friend, welcome to the wonders of john bonham!

  • @jong649 He actually only used 1 bass drum for all his 32nd notes, shockingly enough. O_o

  • @GearsofWumbology i believe they're 24th notes, but close enough, hahaha. bonham with his super fast triplets.

  • @ajiadicicco Oh no they were actually 32nd notes, as they are played between 2 hits of the cowbell.

  • @GearsofWumbology actually, they're triplets between the cowbell. he just neglects to play the last note. bonham used so many triplets in his drumming. i don't know what they key signature or tempo is for this song, but those are either 24th or 48th notes.

  • @jong649 no single bass

  • @jong649 He was doing it on a single pedal. Ive seen a page interview where he says that.

  • @jong649 Bonham never played 2. i think

  • 1 person's hand better have slipped D:< garrarararar
