The shot sequences in the video do not represent full speed machine operation. At full speed, in most cases the machine can shoot a second shot before the previous one reaches the player.
@speedstakerguy The Apollo Badminton Trainer has a sophisticated randomizer mode of operation that can be programmed to randomize the shots in the playlist. Although you can see the machine head move, from my experience, players using the machine still have a difficult time with "fast" sequence drills where the shots are placed far apart. One of my favorites is the right side drive, left tight net drop, left clear, and left net drop sequence. Any sequence can be created based on skill level.
I'm surprised badminton clubs don't already have machines like these. They seem like they would be a perfect tool for trainers. I'd love to test one at my place if you don't mind!
This thing is amazing. It looks like there is a notebook connected to it and I'm assuming it is controlling the machine. If that's true this could be an incredible machine to train with and sharpen all those weak spots (and I have many).
I agree with badmintonguy, I'd love to be able to rent one but we might even be able to get the club to buy one.
Great for typical badminton drills. The guy doing the slams is awesome. I wish this was available for rent by the hour at gyms like the baseball batting machines.
